Lifeline Theatre's KidSeries presents a musical adaptation of SOMEBODY LOVES YOU, MR. HATCH, based on the popular children's book by Eileen Spinelli, illustrated by Paul Yalowitz (©1991 by Eileen Spinelli, Simon & Schuster, Inc.). The production is adapted by Lifeline Theatre ensemble member Frances Limoncelli, music and lyrics by George Howe, and directed by Ann Boyd. Dull and predictable Mr. Hatch had always lived an isolated life until one Valentine's Day, when an unexpected delivery transforms the town's most unsociable hermit into everyone's favorite friend. Share in a heartwarming tale of companionship and acceptance, as Mr. Hatch's neighbors get to know the mysterious man next door. This production is appropriate for children ages five and up, and runs approximately one hour with no intermission. The book and cast recording CDs will be on sale in the lobby.

A collaboration between Berkeley Rep, Huntington Theatre Company, and La Jolla Playhouse, this production has already earned seven awards - including Outstanding Dramatic Production - from the San Diego Critics Circle. It began previews in the state-of-the-art Roda Theatre on February 25, opens March 2, and closes April 10.

Mama Nadi both protects and profits from the young women who work for her, and she is determined to keep the war at bay and the money flowing at any cost. But it's the hope of these courageous women that ultimately prevails. Expertly navigating relationships and politics, Ruined is rich with humor and music, celebrating the triumph of the human spirit.

Huntington Theatre Company has announced casting for its production of Craig Lucas' PRELUDE TO A KISS, which will run from May 14 through June 13.

The Huntington Theatre Company concludes its 28th season - a season of American stories - with the award-winning playwright Craig Lucas' modern classic Prelude to a Kiss.
