Award Winning Producer Jason Blum To Receive 2018 Israel Film Festival Achievement In Film & TV Award

Multi-Academy Award nominated and Emmy Award winning producer Jason Blum, founder of Blumhouse Productions, and award-winning Israeli director/screenwriter Avi Nesher, will be honored on November 6th at the 2018 Opening Night Gala of the 32nd ISRAEL FILM FESTIVAL in Los Angeles with the 2018 IFF Achievement in Film and TV Award and the 2018 IFF Cinematic Achievement Award, respectively. The honors, to take place at the Steve Tisch Cinema Center at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, will immediately be followed by the Opening Night West Coast Gala Premiere screening of Nesher's new film, The Other Story, announced Israel Film Festival Founder/Executive Director Meir Fenigstein. Serving as Honoree Chairman of the Festival is Arnon Milchan, owner of New Regency Productions.

ReFrame and IMDbPro Announce Second Round of Gender-Balanced Films

ReFrameTM (ReFrameProject.org), a coalition of industry professionals and partner companies founded In Film and Sundance Institute-whose mission is to increase the and IMDbPro (imdbpro.com/)- the essential information resource for the entertainment industry-announced today the second round of feature films that qualify for the ReFrame Stamp to recognize standout, gender-balanced films. The complete list of stamp recipients can be found at ReFrameProject.org/stamp and imdb.com/reframe. The ReFrame Stamp program launched on June 8, 2018 with the announcement of 12 films that earned the stamp out of 100 films surveyed. We then expanded the program by inviting studio and independent films that have secured U.S. domestic theatrical or streaming distribution to submit their films for stamp consideration.

Kari Skogland to Direct New SHOWTIME Series on Roger Ailes Starring Russell Crowe

SHOWTIME has announced that Emmy nominee Kari Skogland (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct the first two episodes of the network's eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room, and starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe® winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) in the title role. Skogland returns to SHOWTIME, where she has previously directed shows including PENNY DREADFUL, THE BORGIAS, THE L WORD® and QUEER AS FOLK. The announcement was made today by Gary Levine, President of Programming, Showtime Networks.

Fantastic Fest's Second Wave Lineup Features the Premiere of Jamie Lee Curtis' HALLOWEEN

USA Network to Bring Immersive 'Purge City' Emporium to San Diego Comic-Con

USA Network is coming to San Diego Comic-Con this year with an immersive activation and panel for the eagerly awaited television series THE PURGE. Based on the worldwide phenomenon film franchise, the series will debut on USA on Tuesday, September 4 at 10/9c. “The First Purge” is now in theaters.
