Oscar-Winner Russell Crowe Will Star in Showtime Limited Series Adaptation of THE LOUDEST VOICE IN THE ROOM

SHOWTIME has announced the order for an eight-episode limited series about Fox News founder Roger Ailes, starring Academy Award® and Golden Globe winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind)in the title role and based upon the extensive reporting of Gabriel Sherman in New York magazine and his bestselling book, The Loudest Voice in the Room. Sherman co-wrote the initial episode with Oscar® winner Tom McCarthy (Spotlight, Win Win), who will executive produce with Emmy winner Jason Blum. The project is a co-production from SHOWTIME and Blumhouse Television (Sharp Objects, The Normal Heart). The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.

HBO & Filmspotting to Host Advance Screenings of SHARP OBJECTS in Seattle and Chicago

To celebrate the new limited drama series SHARP OBJECTS joining the network's summer lineup, HBO is partnering with film podcast FILMSPOTTING to host advance screenings in SEATTLE and CHICAGO. The Seattle event onJune 19th will feature an advance screening of the series premiere and Q&A with series co-star Chris Messina. On Friday the 13th of July, Gillian Flynn, author, writer and executive producer will join Chicagoans for a sneak peek of episode two followed by a panel discussion moderated by Filmspotting.

THREE TALL WOMEN Adds Extra Show on Closing Day

Producer Scott Rudin has announced that to accommodate ticket demand, Edward Albee's Three Tall Women will add a ninth performance in its final week of performances. Nominated for six 2018 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Play, Three Tall Women must close as previously scheduled on Sunday, June 24, with the added 7:00 PM show now the final performance for the ecstatically received production. According to Deadline, Naomi Watts and Frank Grillo are set to star in the upcoming picture ONCE UPON A TIME IN STATEN ISLAND. Bobby Cannavale is also announced to be in the cast. Just in time for this summer's hottest blockbuster releases, the Coca-Cola and Regal Films program announced the student finalist winners of the 2018 program at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. Clara Montague and Eva Kirie from Ithaca College are the 2018 grand prize winners, and their 35-second film The Library will be shown exclusively at Regal theatres across the country starting in May this summer.

The first Broadway production of Edward Albee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece stars two-time Academy Award®-winner Glenda Jackson, Tony Award® winner, three-time Emmy Award® winner, and 2018 Academy Award® nominee Laurie Metcalf, and Tony Award® nominee Alison Pill, and is directed by two-time Tony Award® winner Joe Mantello. Award-Winning Director Anthony Hemingway Set for USA/Syfy's THE PURGE

Lemercier. Thomas Kelly serves as executive producer/showrunner of the series.

Sundance TV Partners With Blumhouse Television on New True Crime Series NO ONE SAW A THING

SundanceTV and Sundance Now -- AMC Networks' premium streaming service – announced today the greenlight of “No One Saw A Thing” (w/t), a new true crime documentary series from Blumhouse Television. Award-winning Israeli filmmaker Avi Belkin will direct and serve as executive producer of the six-episode series, which will also be executive produced by Alexandra Shiva. “No One Saw A Thing” examines an unsolved and mysterious death in the American Heartland and the corrosive effects of vigilantism in small town America. The case garnered international attention in the early 1980s after a resident was shot dead in front of almost 60 townspeople. These witnesses deny having seen anything, to this very day. Production is underway and will launch on SundanceTV and Sundance Now in 2019.
