Variety reports that Stephen Collins and Tony Roberts have joined the cast of Manhattan Theater Club's upcoming Broadway revival of THE ROYAL FAMILY.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have announced that the New York premiere of Lynn Redgrave's NIGHTINGALE and the New York premiere of Polly Stenham's THAT FACE will be a part of Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming 2009-2010 Off-Broadway season at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street).

Drama Desk nominees received their official nomination certificates at a cocktail reception on May 1st at IL Bastardo Restaurant and BroadwayWorld.com was there!

Nominations for the 54th Annual Drama Desk Awards were announced this morning at the New York Friars Club by Faith Prince and Jim Dale, multi-award winning stage stars. They were joined for the announcement by William Wolf, Drama Desk President, Barbara Siegel, Chairperson of the Drama Desk Nominating Committee, Robert R. Blume, Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards ceremony, and Randie Levine-Miller, Director of Special Events for the Drama Desk.

Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street) (THE ROYAL FAMILY, COLLECTED STORIES) and the first of the three shows planned for MTC's Off-Broadway theatre at New York City Center - Stage I (131 West 55th Street) (TIME STANDS STILL).

East of Doheny has announced that it will present an invitation-only reading of the new screwball musical comedy My Man Godfrey on Friday, March 6, 2009. The musical, based on the book by Eric Hatch and the Universal Pictures film starring Carole Lumbard and William Powell, features music and lyrics by Tony Award-winner Mark Hollmann (Urinetown, The Musical) and book by Tony Award-winner Rupert Holmes (Curtains, The Mystery by Edwin Drood). Matthew August (Dr. Seuss's How the Grinch Stole Christmas) directs.

THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a new musical based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, has opened its official website, www.theaddamsfamilymusical.com and announced on the website that Broadway previews are scheduled to start on Broadway on March 5th, 2010 with April 8th, 2010 set for Opening Night.
