Artist Robert Rodriguez has designed logos for several big name companies over the years. Most notably, he gave the famed Quaker Oats man a makeover to make him more appealing to the health-conscious masses. Most recently, Rodriguez was tapped to design the artwork for the upcoming Broadway production of LEND ME A TENOR, starring Tony Shalhoub and Anthony LaPaglia and directed by Stanley Tucci.

Variety is reporting (sourcing the show's Telecharge ticketing page, not any sort of official confirmation) that Justin Bartha, known from his big screen roles in The Hangover and National Treasure will join the upcoming revival of LEND ME A TENOR in the role that was originally set to be played by T.R. WhatsOnStage.com is reporting that a West End production of 'Lend Me a Tenor' may be in the works for fall of 2010. Casting is reportedly underway, with plans for a short run at the Plymouth prior to a potential transfer to the West End.

Ken Ludwig's comedy LEND ME A TENOR starring Anthony LaPaglia, Tony Shalhoub, Jan Maxwell, Mary Catherine Garrison, Jennifer Laura Thompson, Jay Klaitz, and Brooke Adams, directed by Stanley Tucci, will bow on Broadway on April 4, 2010 at the Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street). Preview performances begin March 11. Additonal casting will be announced.

Until his death in 1961, Kaufman could be called the quintessential New Yorker; continually working on Broadway as a playwright and director, reluctantly venturing out to Hollywood on occasion and regretting every moment of it and frequently quoted for his crackling cleverness ('I understand your new play is full of single entendres.').
PTP/NYC to Participate in Worldwide Tribute to Playwright Howard Barker, 10/21

Actors on four continents and in 18 countries will join together to perform the work of British playwright Howard Barker in an event called '21 for 21,' a celebration of the 21st birthday of Barker's theatre company, the Wrestling School, that will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Middlebury College affiliated PTP/NYC, an off-Broadway theatre company, will participate with its own sold-out production of Barker's 'Judith, a Parting from the Body' just a few days later on Oct. 26 at the Marianne Boesky Gallery in Chelsea. PTP/NYC co-director Richard Romagnoli will direct Jan Maxwell, Alex Draper and Stephanie Janssen in the production.
