Wizard of Oz lovers can rejoice, for The Wiz has arrived! Take the original, add soul and catchy dance numbers, pepper it with one-liners, and you have a version that makes the whole family happy. The Wiz was created to give a voice to the urban African-American and the song styles reflect that with nods to R&B, gospel, and jazz. The effort was so successful that, in its opening year, it won 7 Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

Richard Kind Will Join Cast of KISS ME KATE for Final Weeks

BroadwayWorld has just learned that Richard Kind will return to Roundabout's stage, following his Tony Award-nominated and Drama Desk Award-winning performance in The Big Knife, in Kiss Me, Kate. Kind will reprise the role of "Second Man," which he played in Roundabout's 2016 benefit concert reading of Kiss Me, Kate.

World Class Trio Backs Sharon K. Janda At Don't Tell Mama June 15 & 16

New York City has it's wealth of musicians with hectic schedules and commitments, but sometimes the stars align just right and a trio like Sharon K. Janda's trio is formed. Led by Glafkos Kontemeniotis on piano, the trio is rounded out by bassist, Tony Lannen and drummer, Simon Fishburn. This trio was featured in Sharon K. Janda's previous cabaret at Don't Tell Mama as well as performances in Detroit, MI.
