The 10th Annual Georgia High School Musical Theatre Awards - Shuler Hensley Awards - were held in Atlanta at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on April 19. Two of the evening's award winners, Parker Jennings and Laughton Berry, will go on to compete with young performers from across the country for the coveted Jimmy Award as well as scholarships and professional opportunities. They are heading to New York to participate at the National High School Musical Theatre Awards, taking place at the Minskoff Theatre on Broadway, at 7:30 pm on June 25, 2018.

On Sunday, May 20, at The Annenberg Theatre in Palm Springs Marisa Moehno of Murrietta Valley High School and Garrett Hoy of Musical Theatre University were named the LucieA Award Winners for Outstanding Actress and Actor, respectively, at the Lucie Arnaz Awards for High School Musical Theatre.
