The Oldest Established, Permanent Floating Monologue Night in New York is returning to the place where it all began-the Arthur Seelen Theatre at the Drama Bookshop--and you're invited to celebrate youth theatre and young actors, as they perform monologues from the new Applause Theatre and Cinema Book release: ONE ON ONE: PLAYING WITH A PURPOSE, MONOLOGUES FOR KIDS 7-15.

Due to popular demand, Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced an extension of its World Premiere production of the eagerly-awaited new musical FAR FROM HEAVEN. Originally set to have a limited subscription run through Sunday, June 30, the production will now play an additional week through Sunday, July 7.

Mint Theater (Jonathan Bank, Artistic Director) today announced its line-up of EnrichMint Events for its upcoming production of A Picture of Autumn by N.C. Hunter. For each of their productions, Mint Theater hosts a number of post-show speakers for what are called "EnrichMint" Events. These post-show discussions are free and open to the public. The speakers may be experts on an author or era, or leaders in a humanities field that may bring an entirely different perspective on the play.

The Irish Repertory Theatre continues its award-winning 25th Anniversary Season with the Off-Broadway premiere of GIBRALTAR-Patrick Fitzgerald's two-character adaptation of James Joyce's 'Ulysses'-with previews set to begin June 5, prior to opening June 13 in the company's W. Scott McLucas Studio Theatre (132 West 22nd Street). Terry Kinney directs.

Hidden secrets are unearthed and family tensions fly high in Pulitzer Prize nominee Jon Robin Baitz's contemporary family drama Other Desert Cities, hailed by the New York Times as "the best new play on Broadway" in 2011. Richmond Theatre Critics Circle award winner and Company of Fools' founder Rusty Wilson returns to direct the Idaho premiere of the show with a standout cast that features Keith Moore, Denise Simone and Patsy Wygle and guest actors Hanna Cheek and Adrian Rieder. Other Desert Cities runs July 2-27, 2013 at the Liberty Theatre.

Long Wharf Theatre concludes its 2012-13 season with Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Clybourne Park, by Bruce Norris, and directed by Associate Artistic Director Eric Ting. The play will take place on The Claire Tow Stage in the C. Newton Schenck III Mainstage from tonight, May 8, 2013 through June 2, 2013.

Playwrights Horizons presents Far From Heaven, a new musical with book by Tony Award winner and two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Richard Greenberg (Take Me Out, Three Days of Rain, the current Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Assembled Parties both now on Broadway), music by Tony Award nominee Scott Frankel (Grey Gardens at PH and on Broadway, Finding Neverland) and lyrics by Tony Award nominee Michael Korie (Grey Gardens at PH and on Broadway, The Grapes of Wrath, Finding Neverland). The musical is choreographed by Alex Sanchez (Giant, Fiorello!) and directed by three-time Tony Award nominee Michael Greif (Grey Gardens at PH and on Broadway; Rent, Next to Normal, Giant). The musical is based on the Focus Features/Vulcan Productions motion picture Far From Heaven, written and directed by Todd Haynes.

Josefina López, Artistic Director of Casa 0101 Theater based in Boyle Heights, CA, along with Miguel Garcia, Producer of Casa 0101 Theater's Brown & Out Theater Festival announced that Casa 0101 Theater has been invited to participate in the 10th Annual International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival to be held in Dublin, Ireland from May 6 - 19, 2013. The OBIE Award-winning Pig Iron Theatre Company will collaborate on a new concert-spectacle with Dr. Dog - the Philadelphia-based indie-rock band whose last album (Be the Void) debuted on Billboard's top 50 - thanks to new funding from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. The as-yet-untitled collaboration, scheduled for spring/summer 2014, will filter Dr. Dog's songs (including some from a new album due out in October) through Pig Iron's unique visual style and concept-driven staging.

Czech-American author Birgitte Rasine's first novella, "Verse in Arabic," is a work of historical suspense set in Spain in 1946, ten years after the start of the Spanish Civil War. Ms. Rasine tells this compelling story from the point of view of an American journalist interviewing the main person of interest-a respected physician convicted of murder-21 years later. The tale unfolds in a double twist of fate that remains purposely unexplained, and is inspired by a true unsolved mystery.

In celebration of Bloomsday, the Library pays tribute to James Joyce's legacy of provocative literature through an artful lens with a vivid rendering of Molly Bloom. Light refreshments will be served.

Nottingham Playhouse Theatre Company and Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse present the European premiere of THE KITE RUNNER, adapted by Matthew Spangler and based on the novel by Khaled Hosseini. Director Giles Croft, the production will run in Nottingham tonight, 26 April- Saturday 11 May 2013, and in Liverpool from Thursday June 13 - Saturday July 6.

Beginning in April, 2013, 1812 Productions will present the world premiere comedy It's My Party: The Women and Comedy Project, created and directed by 1812 Productions' Artistic Director, Jennifer Childs, and featuring a diverse ensemble of Philadelphia actresses. A production which will use physical comedy, storytelling, and music in a one-of-a-kind theatrical event, the creative process for It's My Party: The Women and Comedy Project began in 2010 with two questions: how do women use comedy and how does that usage change as they age. With these pointed inquiries as her guides, Ms. Childs embarked on three inclusive and ongoing initiatives which, together, would form the core of the Project.

Lincoln Center Theater's Platform Series, a forum for public discussion between Lincoln Center Theater artists and interested theatergoers, continues its 15th season on Wednesday, May 1 at 6:00 pm with RICHARD NELSON, the playwright of NIKOLAI AND THE OTHERS, currently in previews at the Mitzi E.
