The Chiarina Piano Quartet will perform an evening of music at 8 pm tonight, February 2, in Weigel Auditorium, 1866 College Rd.

Alison Fraser will lead the reading of Wendy Beckett's Off-Broadway - bound production of LOVE THERAPY. This new play, directed by Evan Bergman is the fourth in a series of Ms. Beckett's plays that will be brought across the pacific from Australia by Pascal Productions. The reading takes place on Sunday, February 3rd at 3PM at TACT Studios (900 Broadway at 20th Street - Suite 905) and is open to the public by reservation only. Euan Morton, who was originally scheduled to bring his solo cabaret act to Signature Theatre in Arlington, has cancelled his appearance due to another commitment at Yale Repertory Theatre. The January 9-12, 2013 slot will now be filled by Emily Skinner.

Bette Midler will star in John Logan's new play, I'll Eat You Last: A Chat With Sue Mengers, directed by Joe Mantello, opening on Broadway on Wednesday, April 24 at a Shubert theatre to be announced. I'll Eat You Last is produced by Graydon Carter, Arielle Tepper Madover, James L. Nederlander, and The Shubert Organization.

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, today announced complete casting for the company's upcoming new production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Tony Award-winning musical PASSION, to be directed by John Doyle (director of the acclaimed Broadway revivals of Sondheim's Sweeney Todd and Company). Joining previously announced Melissa Errico (Clara), Judy Kuhn (Fosca) and Ryan Silverman (Giorgio) in the production are Stephen Bogardus (Colonel Ricci), Jeffry Denman (Lieutenant Barri), Jason Michael Evans (Private Augenti), Amy Justman (understudy), Ken Krugman (Lieutenant Torasso), Orville Mendoza (Sergeant Lombardi), Tom Nelis (Doctor Tambourri) and Will Reynolds (Major Rizzoli/Ludovic). PASSION is slated to begin performances on February 8, 2013 at CSC (136 East 13th Street), with an official press opening scheduled for Thursday, February 28, playing a limited engagement through Sunday, April 7. Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning at Noon on Thursday, January 3.

Red Bull Theater's (Jesse Berger, Artistic Director) acclaimed revival of Ben Jonson's VOLPONE, or The Fox, ends its limited engagement Sunday December 23rd at the Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street, between Bleecker and Hudson Streets).

Overall, I'd recommend this production. Strong acting, strong singing, and a delicate treatment of the interesting material make this one to see.
