Full Dates and Casting Announced for World Premiere of Anna Jordan's POP MUSIC

Paines Plough and Birmingham Repertory Theatre have today announced the full cast and UK tour dates for POP MUSIC, a World Premiere from Bruntwood Award-winner Anna Jordan (Yen). The new play, which promises to be a night at the theatre like no other, charts two wedding guests' rollercoaster journey through thirty epic years of pop.

Paines Plough Announces Casting For Roundabout 2018

Artistic Directors of Paines Plough James Grieve and George Perrin today announced casting and creative team for Roundabout, Paines Plough's award-winning portable in-the-round auditorium. Roundabout will showcase three world premieres across the country, with full dates to be announced in May.

Full Cast Announced For the World Premiere of THE ASSASSINATION OF KATIE HOPKINS

Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey, today announces full casting for the world premiere production of The Assassination of Katie Hopkins - a new musical from Chris Bush and Matt Winkworth. The production sees James Grieve, return to Clwyd to direct Rakesh Boury (Wesley), Che Francis (Karl), Derek Hutchinson (Brian), Genesis Lynea (Nina), Maimuna Memon (Shayma), Amy Booth-Steele (Pam), Bethzienna Williams (Kayleigh) and Matthew Woodyatt (Richard). The production opens in the Emlyn Williams Theatre on Thursday 26 April with previews from Friday 20 April.

BWW Review: PAINES PLOUGH ROUNDABOUT, Orange Tree Theatre

After a hugely successful 2017 Edinburgh Fringe run and UK tour, Paines Plough's Roundabout plays arrive at the Orange Tree Theatre. Featuring a tense psychological thriller, a fiery tale of friendship, and a story of growing up too fast, this three-show programme has it all. Paines Plough hardly ever tour their work to London, so this is a really exciting opportunity to see three new pieces of writing, by three celebrated playwrights.

Lucy Carless of Channel 4's critically acclaimed drama series Humans makes her theatre debut as Ruby in Sea Fret opening at the Old Red Lion on the 28th March. Best known for her portrayal of teenaged Mattie in both series of the hit television programme, Lucy trained at the Nottingham Television Workshop.

Theatr Clwyd Announces 2017 Summer and Autumn Seasons

As she completes her first year as Artistic Director of Theatr Clwyd, Tamara Harvey today announces the 2017 Summer and Autumn seasons for the company. These include four world premieres; BoHo, a co-production with Hijinx Theatre which features both learning disabled and non-disabled actors, and, after a successful collaboration on the production of Love Lies and Taxidermy, Theatr Clwyd reunites with Paines Plough to open the 2017 Roundabout Season with co-productions of Black Mountain, Out Of Love and How To Be A Kid in collaboration with the Orange Tree Theatre. The Theatr Clwyd and Sheffield Theatres co-production of a new adaptation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya, by Welsh Playwright Peter Gill, will be directed by Harvey and will open at Clwyd from the 21 September ahead of transferring to Sheffield Theatres as part of Robert Hastie's inaugural season.
