Under the direction of Nigel West, Glasgow's King's Theatre once again delivers a seriously entertaining pantomime.

Following on from a hugely successful run at Chichester, Sir Ian McKellen is back in the title role of King Lear, in the same theatre in which he made his West End debut in 1964. The Duke of York's is decidedly bigger than the Minerva, but with the addition of a walkway through the centre of the auditorium reducing the theatre capacity substantially, there's a much more intimate feel.

£5 tickets to King Lear will be made available as part of Chichester Festival Theatre's Prologue scheme for 16-25 year olds.

An original devised play, The Tragical Comical Fool's Game (Or, Nun of Your Business) follows Bella (an almost nun) as she grapples with her destiny and a crazy crew of characters all trying to sway her in various directions. Very (very) loosely based on Measure for Measure, The Fool's Game shows on July 10th at 5pm, 11th at 7pm, 18th at 9:15pm, 21st at 6:15pm, and 26th at 5pm. It runs approximately one hour. All performances will be held at the Christ United Methodist Church at 900 4th Street, SW - Orange Venue. Individual tickets go for $17 and can be purchased on the Capital Fringe website. Please note that you will need a Capital Fringe button ($5 through July 6th) to enter the venue!

Further casting is announced for the West End transfer of Chichester Festival Theatre's critically-acclaimed production of Shakespeare's King Lear, directed by Jonathan Munby, which will run at the Duke of York's Theatre in London for 100 performances only from 11th July to 3rd November 2018.

As performances get underway for Julius Caesar, rehearsals begin for the Barbican transfer of Antony and Cleopatra. Playing the titular role, Antony Byrne takes us through his time at the RSC, from audience member to actor.

WFUV, New York (90.7 FM/wfuv.org), WFUV has had another successful year, with the News and Sports Departments earning 21 awards from both New York and national organizations so far in 2017 (with more to come). The King's Theatre in Glasgow have today confirmed  further casting for this year's spectacular family pantomime, Sleeping Beauty which runs from Saturday 2 December 2017 until Sunday 7 January 2018.

Full casting is announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) family winter production of Wendy & Peter Pan. A magical adaptation of JM Barrie's classic novel by Ella Hickson, the show returns to the Royal Shakespeare Theatre following the productions acclaimed success in 2013.
