One Year Lease Theater Company presents the New York premiere of pool (no water) by controversial English playwright Mark Ravenhill (Shopping and F*cking) for a limited Off-Broadway run from tonight, May 9 through May 26 at 9th Space (150 First Avenue, at 9th Street). Tickets for pool (no water) are $25 and can be arranged online at 9thspace.org or by calling 212.352.3101. Running time: 60 minutes, no intermission.

The Belcourt Theatre presents Castles in the Sky: Miyazaki, Takahata and the Masters of Studio Ghibli, a film retrospective of the renowned Japanese animation studio from June 1-13. Thomas Blake, director of Los Angeles' long running hit Point Break Live!, returns to New York with the World Premiere of TERMINATOR TOO, JUDGMENT PLAY. Previews of this new interactive spoof of the classic 1991 Schwarzenegger/James Cameron action blockbuster Terminator 2 begin June 23 at downtown's Santos Party. Opening night is slated for July 14 (Bastille Day).

Nashville actor Max Desir didn't expect to have such a personal connection to the character he would be playing in Circle Playears' upcoming revival of Titanic the Musical, when he was cast in the show, set to play James K. Polk Theatre at the Tennessee Peforming Arts Center just days before the centennial of the great ship's sinking in frigid ocean waters on April 14, 1912.
