Sophie Evans, Simon Bailey & More to Join Madalena Alberto in DON'T CRY FOR ME

Madalena Alberto, recently starring in EVITA, at the Dominion Theatre, with acclaimed reviews, will offer her solo show 'Don't Cry For Me', an intimate evening, at London's St James Studio performing songs from shows that have marked her career - including EVITA, LES MISERABLES and PIAF - accompanied by the award winner Musical Director Alfonso Casado, who recently conducted the West End productions of MISS SAIGON and LES MISERABLES.

Full Cast Confirmed For THE VOTE At Donmar

The Donmar Warehouse has confirmed the full cast for The Vote. Joining the previously announced cast, Eddie Arnold, MyAnna Buring, Stavros Demetraki, Tommy French, Joanna Griffin, Gerard Horan, Chukwudi Iwuji, Stephen Kennedy, Beverley Longhurst, Andrew McDonald, Bhasker Patel, Penny Ryder and Michael Shaeffer complete an ensemble of actors who will represent the team of polling station volunteers, polling officers, and the diverse array of characters that are the voting public.

Jade Anouka, Clare Dunne & More Join Cast of Phyllida Lloyd's All-Female HENRY IV at Donmar

In 2012, Phyllida Lloyd's all-female production of Julius Caesar at the Donmar Warehouse placed the play in a women's prison. It stunned audiences on both sides of the Atlantic and challenged the idea of 'who owns Shakespeare?' In one of the schools workshops around the production, teachers heard one of their students, a girl, speak in public for the first time. It couldn't end there.

59E59 Theaters will launch the Scotland Week celebrations with US premiere of the double bill of A RESPECTABLE WIDOW TAKES TO VULGARITY by Douglas Maxwell and CLEAN by Sabrina Mahfouz, both directed by Orla O'Loughlin. 2014 Brits Off Broadway Festival to Run 4/1-6/29

The critically acclaimed Brits Off Broadway festival, host to the UK's most innovative and provocative theater in New York City, returns for its 9th season of New York premieres of new British theater. Presented by 59E59 Theaters (Elysabeth Kleinhans, Artistic Director; Peter Tear, Executive Producer), Brits Off Broadway launches on Tuesday, April 1 and runs through Sunday, June 29. Due to overwhelming demand, and amidst extraordinary critical acclaim, St. Ann's Warehouse and the Donmar Warehouse have extended the American Premiere of the Donmar's all-female Julius Caesar, directed by Phyllida Lloyd. New York audiences will now have seven additional opportunities to see the production Ben Brantley of The New York Times calls "gripping and illuminating," adding, "This Julius Caesar generates a higher testosterone level than any I have seen."

ALICE BY HEART, DETROIT, et al. Included in National Theatre's 2012 Plans

Highlights of the forthcoming productions at the National Theatre, announced today by Nicholas Hytner, include new plays by Alan Bennett, Stephen Beresford, Lisa D'Amour, James Graham and Lucy Prebble. There will be adaptations of Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Simon Stephens, and of The Count of Monte Cristo by Richard Bean. Enda Walsh's Misterman receives its London premiere; classic revivals include Polly Findlay's production of Sophocles' Antigone, Shakespeare's Timon of Athens directed by Nicholas Hytner, Bijan Sheibani's staging of Damned for Despair by Tirso de Molina, and Nadia Fall's production of Bernard Shaw's The Doctor's Dilemma.
