The musical opened on Broadway in 1947, their third collaboration for the stage following Oklahoma! and Carousel, and has been revived by producer Danielle Tarento and director Thom Southerland, the award-winning team behind Grey Gardens, Grand Hotel, Titanic, Parade and Mack & Mabel. Southerland is working on a new adaptation of the book and the production will have brand new orchestrations. The production runs 5 August-10 September at the Large at Southwark Playhouse.

The 'Pant Wettingly Funny' show will continue performances at the Wyndham's from March 19, booking until the end of September 2010 - marking Avenue Q's fifth year in London's West End. Due to the change in theatre programming Stephen Daldry's multi award-winning production of An Inspector Calls will close a week early on Saturday 13 March to facilitate the transfer of Avenue Q to the Wyndham's.
