On Saturday, Palm Spring's declared October 2nd, Carol Channing Day as three-time Tony Award and Golden Globe award winner received a star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars on Saturday in front of the Azul restaurant and Georgies Alibi (369 N. Palm Canyon Drive).

Forget the Olivier's, the Hepburn's or the Royalty of Europe. The other day Carol (Channing) got to meet Yo Gabba Gabba! The group is a popular kids' show currently airing on Nick jr. DJ Lance Rock, Muno (the red cyclops), Foofa (the pink flower bubble), Brobee (a little hairy green monster), Toodee (the blue cat-dragon) and Plex (the magic yellow robot) joined 'Good Day LA' for a sing-a-long and dance. Carol says 'Brobee has my father's eyes.' The Yo Gabba Gabba! show entitled 'There's A Party In My City' will be doing a 60 city North American live tour that kicks off on August 27! A slew of celebrities are joining forces to demand that legendary actress Carol Channing be selected for the 2010 Kennedy Center Honors. Among those voicing their support for the nomination are Lily Tomlin, Chita Rivera, Phyllis Diller, Lucie Arnaz, Buzz Aldrin, Kate Linder, Tommy Tune, Loni Anderson, Alison Arngrim, Tippi Hedren and Congress Woman Jackie Speier.
