Soho Rep today announced its 2022–23 season, consisting entirely of large-scale works by early-career artists that have been commissioned by the organization.

The Center for Fiction, a 200-year-old literary nonprofit that has created an immersive home for readers and writers in downtown Brooklyn, and Theatre Communications Group (TCG), the national organization for theatre, will co-present Story/Teller Arts: Aleshea Harris with Nissy Aya on June 8 at 7pm ET at The Center for Fiction, 15 Lafayette Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11217, and via livestream.

The riveting drama HEROES OF THE FOURTH TURNING; the profound comedy ENGLISH; the  Pulitzer Prize-winner FAIRVIEW; the wildly imaginative romance WILD GOOSE DREAMS; and the joyous musical comedy THE PROM will make-up SpeakEasy Stage Company’s 32nd Season, the company’s Founder and Producing Artistic Director Paul Daigneault announced today.

Trinity Rep's risk-taking production of FAIRVIEW examines whether the stories theater tells obscure or reveal the truths of people's lives.

The Detroit Repertory Theatre is closing out its 65th season with the Michigan Professional Premiere of Fairview by Jackie Sibblies Drury - a ground-breaking, radical, Pulitzer prize-winning comedy. Opening night is June 3rd, 2022, and it runs until July 31st, 2022. Opening nights at the Detroit Repertory Theatre are always a celebration as guests are invited to stay after the play and join in a complimentary champagne toast to a new production on the Rep stage.

Playwrights Foundation, the West Coast's premier launchpad for exceptional new plays and playwrights, has announced its lineup for the 45th Annual Bay Area Playwrights Festival (BAPF) which will be presented as a hybrid (in-person and streamed) festival July 29 - August 7, 2022. Selected from 240 applicants via a committee process with 150 readers (the majority of whom are also playwrights), five powerful plays by five exciting new voices will receive public readings and workshops in this year's festival.

​​Theatre Communications Group, the national organization for theatre, announced that publisher Terry Nemeth will be retiring in the fall of 2022. For almost 40 years, Nemeth has led TCG’s publishing programs, including TCG Books and American Theatre magazine.

The Wilma Theater finishes its 2021-22 Season with Fairview, the groundbreaking 2019 Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Jackie Sibblies Drury, directed by Pulitzer Prize-winner James Ijames.

Up next in its 2022 season, Oakland Theater Project (OTP) presents the first-ever Bay Area production of the 1989 play The Mojo and the Sayso by Aishah Rahman, a writer, professor and active participant in the Black Arts Movement of the 1960s.

The Pulitzer Prize Board has just announced that Fat Ham has won the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Other finalists included: Selling Kabul, and Kristina Wong, Sweatshop Overlord.

Trinity Repertory Company finishes its 2021-22 Season with Fairview by Jackie Sibblies Drury. Directed by Brown University/Trinity Repertory Company alum Christopher Windom, this show runs May 19 – June 19 with a press opening night on Wednesday, May 25 at 7:30 pm.
