'The Women of Mahabharata' Opens Oct. 9 at Roy Arias Theatre

'THE WOMEN OF THE MAHABHARATA,' a world premiere adaptation by WALLACE DORIAN, directed by JONATHAN WARMAN and choreographed by DINA DENIS DANCE. The production opens Thursday, October 9th at 8 p.m., and continues Wednesdays through Saturdays at 8 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays at 3 p.m., through Sunday, October 26th.

The season finale of the showbiz-themed web series 'The Battery's Down,' which chronicles the life of a young performer in New York City, will feature Alice Ripley (Next To Normal, Side Show), John Gallagher, Jr. (Spring Awakening, Rabbit Hole), Celia Keenan-Bolger (Spelling Bee, Saved), Tyler Maynard (The Little Mermaid, Altar Boyz), Deidre Goodwin (A Chorus Line, 30 Rock), Susan Blackwell (title of show), Ana Nogueira (Perez Hilton Saves The Universe), and more. The episode also features a special appearance by famed gossip blogger Perez Hilton.

Actress and comedienne Jackie Hoffman announced the upcoming release of JACKIE HOFFMAN: LIVE AT JOE'S PUB, a live recording of her best original savage songs and monologues. XANADU, Broadway's surprise hit musical, now in its 2nd smash year at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th St) is excited to announce that a London West End production is in the works spearheaded byDavid Ian and John Gore. The Broadway producers, Robert Ahrens, Tara Smith, Brian Swibel, Cari Smulyan ,Dale Smith and Dan Vickery will join Ian and Gore. The production is slated for Spring, 2009 at a theatre to be announced.
