Actress and comedienne Jackie Hoffman announced the upcoming release of Jackie Hoffman: LIVE AT JOE’S PUB, a live recording of her best original savage songs and monologues.  PS Classics will release the album on Tuesday, November 11, 2008.  The album was recorded live onstage at Joe’s Pub, New York’s famed, downtown performance space.

"I'm so excited to finally release this album in an era where CDs are flying off the shelves," Hoffman said.

Jackie Hoffman, a Second City alum and cult icon in New York’s downtown comedy scene, is best known for her acclaimed and hilarious turns on Broadway in Hairspray and Xanadu, as well as her stand-out roles in films such as Kissing Jessica Stein and Garden State.  On Jackie Hoffman: LIVE AT JOE’S PUB, Hoffman is at her shockingly-inappropriate best: salty, saucy and uncensored.  Here she leaves no comic stone unthrown, targeting everything from West Side matrons to public displays of affection, from the vagaries of show business to her own mortality. The New York Times proclaimed, “Jackie has a love-hate relationship with her audience: she hates and they love.” Hoffman’s unique blend of cynicism, stand up, and original songs will make you realize why her shows at Joe's Pub are the stuff of New York legend.  This album is not for the warm and fuzzy, politically correct or faint of heart
