LET THE RIGHT ONE IN to Take a Bite Out of The Alley Theatre in 2017; Dates Added!

The Alley Theatre announced additional dates for internationally acclaimed production Let the Right One In, presented by the National Theatre of Scotland. Let the Right One In begins preview performances February 17, opens February 22 and continues through March 19, 2017 in the Hubbard Theatre.

Amazon Announces Best-Selling Books of 2016

(NASDAQ:AMZN) - Amazon today announced its best-selling books of 2016, best-selling Kids & Teens books of 2016, as well as the Most Gifted and Most Wished For books of the year-just in time for holiday gifting. The best-selling book of the year is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, Parts 1 & 2, Special Rehearsal Edition Script by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany followed by When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is also the best-selling book in the Kids & Teens category and Diary of a Wimpy Kid # 11: Double Down by Jeff Kinney is number two. Rowling's bestseller also tops the lists for both the Most Gifted and Most Wished For book of the year, confirming that Harry Potter continues to be a favorite for readers across genres. The best-selling book lists are first editions published in 2016 comprising both print and Kindle purchases. A Further 60,000 Tickets Released For HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD

Sonia Friedman, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions, producers of HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD, announce today that a further 60,000 tickets will be released for sale on Tuesday, 22 November 2016, at 11am GMT, for performances from 13 December 2017 - 4 February 2018. Tickets are priced from £15 per part and for every performance there will be over 300 tickets at £20 or less per part.  This will be followed by regular ticket releases throughout the next year, details of which will be announced via the official Harry Potter and the Cursed Child website, social media channels and the official newsletter.

The West End production remains as sold-out and beloved as ever, and rumors have long been circulating that Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will make a Broadway transfer. Now, according to Page Six, the eight Harry Potter story will make its debut at the Al Hirschfeld next season. Currently home to the long-running Kinky Boots, if Cursed Child were to move into the Al Hirschfeld, it would be a major score for Jujamcyn, which has already announced that the expected Disney juggernaut, Frozen, will move into the St. James following a major renovation to accommodate Elsa'a ice castle.

With John Malkovich's acclaimed production of Good Canary entering its final week, Rose Theatre Kingston today announces its new season for 2017.  Headlining the season is the world premiere of My Brilliant Friend, a two-part adaptation of Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan quartet of novels which have become a global literary sensation.  The true identity of the author is a mystery, with Elena Ferrante a pseudonym used by the writer, but speculation over the weekend suggested that the author had been unmasked.

Casting was announced today for the HighTide production of Al Smith's debut play Harrogate. Nigel Lindsay joins Sarah Ridgeway, who starred in the original production at HighTide Festival 2015, for the London premiere at the Royal Court Theatre from 20 - 29 October and UK Tour. Richard Twyman, the newly appointed Artistic Director of English Touring Theatre, returns to direct Harrogate, which had an acclaimed sell-out run at the influential annual HighTide Festival in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.

Soho Theatre, HighTide and Talawa Theatre Company present Theresa Ikoko's award-winning new play Girls, the funny and fiercely passionate new play by award-winning playwright Theresa Ikoko will premiere at HighTide Festival 2016 in September before its London premiere at Soho Theatre on 27 September. The production will also run at Birmingham Rep Theatre in between those dates.
