Curated by Finborough Theatre Artistic Director Neil McPherson and produced by Luke Holbrook for the Finborough Theatre, now in its fifth consecutive year, the multi-award-winning Finborough Theatre - the coalface of British Theatre - presents Vibrant 2013 - A Festival of Finborough Playwrights, its annual explosion of new writing, running between 6-25 October 2013.

Goat & Monkey, the company behind the acclaimed sell-out Reverence: A Tale of Abelard and Heloise (Southwark Playhouse, 2007), returns to the theatre to present their unique take on the traditional Christmas pantomime, JACK AND THE BEANSTALK by Toby Hulse. Directed by Joel Scott. Designed by Rebecca Brower. Sound Design by Tom Hackley for HAVEsound. The first Christmas production in Southwark Playhouse's new main space, The Large, opens in December for a five-week run. It will play from 6 December 2013 to 11 January 2014 with a press evening performance on Tuesday, 10 December (7pm) and a press matinee performance on Thursday, 12 December (1.30pm).

Alexander Masters' Stuart: A Life Backwards, written by Jack Thorne and directed by Mark Rosenblatt, will receive its world premiere today, 31 July 2013 at the Underbelly's new Topside venue at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe before touring to Watford and Sheffield. The show will be designed by Jon Bausor.

The theatre programme for the Manchester International Festival 2013 has been announced. MIF13 commissions include: The Machine, The Old Woman, Macbeth, The Masque of Anarchy and The Rite of Spring.

Sheffield Theatres today unveils its full autumn season of produced and touring work taking place from September 2013 - January 2014, alongside the news that Phil Davis (Whitechapel and Quadrophenia) will star as Fagin in the company's Christmas musical, Oliver! and Daniel Lapaine (Muriel's Wedding) will lead the cast of The Winter's Tale as Leontes.

John Tiffany will direct the National Theatre of Scotland and Marla Rubin Productions's stage version of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN at Dundee Rep Theatre, opening June 8, and running through June 29.

HighTide Festival Theatre will announce full casting for its 2013 season (see below for full details). Also HighTide is pleased to announce further 'In Conversation' events with writer and director Stephen Poliakoff CBE, and playwright and novelist Michael Frayn. Author and broadcaster Kate Mosse will conduct the conversation with Michael Frayn, whilst television presenter Rick Edwards will hostconversations with Stephen Poliakoff and (previously announced) Roger Michell.
