Writers Theatre to Present THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK, 2/24-6/28

Writers Theatre presents The Diary of Anne Frank by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, adapted by Wendy Kesselman and directed by Kimberly Senior. The show runs February 24 - June 28, 2015 at Books on Vernon, 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. The Press Openings are Wednesday, March 4, and Thursday, March 5, 2015.

Theatre School at DePaul Presents SYMPHONY OF CLOUDS, Now thru 2/21

The Theatre School at DePaul University will present Symphony of Clouds by Margaret Larlham, directed by Ann Wakefield, as the winter production of the 2014-2015 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences season. This production opens tonight, January 13, 2015 and runs through February 21, 2015, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre.

Northlight Theatre Extends THE MOUSETRAP Through 12/21

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, adds one week of performances for the hit production of The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie, directed by Jonathan Berry. The production will now run at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, through December 21, 2014.

KC Rep's 50th Anniversary Season Continues With THE WHO & THE WHAT, Opening Tonight

Kansas City Repertory Theatre continues its 50th anniversary celebration with the Kansas City premiere of Ayad Akhtar's The Who & The What, directed by Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Artistic Director Eric Rosen. From the 2013 Pulitzer Prize-winning writer of Disgraced, Ayad Akhtar's play, The Who & The What takes a passionate and searing look at a family divided by faith, bonded by love and searching for truth in contemporary America. A brilliant young Pakistani writer is focused on finishing a controversial novel that bridges the gulf between her modern life and her traditional heritage. But when her conservative father and sister discover her manuscript, they are all forced to confront the beliefs that define then. This production, at KC Rep's downtown Copaken Stage in the Power & Light District, will run tonight, October 17 through November 16.

Clarence Brown Theatre Presents HANK WILLIAMS: LOST HIGHWAY, Now thru 9/28

As a singer and songwriter, Hank Williams changed the face of not only country music, but music in general, forever. From today, September 4, through the 28th, the Clarence Brown Theatre will stage the biographical retelling of his life in Hank Williams: Lost Highway.

Peninsula Players' BUTLER Begins 8/20

Richard Strand's Civil War drama 'Butler' makes its Midwest Premiere August 20 at Peninsula Players Theatre, America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon. 'Butler' is a winner of the Edgerton Foundation New American Plays Program and made its world premiere in June at the New Jersey Repertory Company.

Sit down for a sophisticated cocktail on the Green Bay shores at Door County's Peninsula Players Theatre (PPT) this weekend. Then enter through the theater doors at eight in the evening to enjoy the stage adaptation of Agatha Christie's best selling novel which has sold over 100 million copies to date: And Then There Were None. Considered one of Christie's masterpiece mysteries, the plot centers around a 'Ten Little Indians' poem. A poem eventually changed to 'Ten Little Soldiers' for an American version published around 1940, as the story continued to mesmerize readers and become the best selling mystery novel of all time.
