The Theatre School at DePaul University will present Symphony of Clouds by Margaret Larlham, directed by Ann Wakefield, as the winter production of the 2014-2015 Chicago Playworks for Families and Young Audiences season. This production opens January 13, 2015 and runs through February 21, 2015, at DePaul's historic Merle Reskin Theatre.

Performances are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10 AM, and Saturdays 2 PM. Special Friday performances (10 AM) will occur on February 6 and 13. A Sunday performance will be held on February 8 (10 AM). There is no performance on February 7.

Follow the adventures and joyful milestones in the life of young Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: boy genius, musical prodigy, and gifted composer. Discover how nature inspires and impacts Mozart, and how his family faces the acclaim, fame, trials, and tribulations of his early creative life in this story infused with music, dance, and a bit of magic.

This production is recommended for all ages. Themes include: biography; classical music and composition; family; happiness and growing pains; healthy and illness; history; and nature.

The cast features Leo Chappell (Fortissimo), Christian Cook (Leopold), Jalen Gilbert (Legato), Audrey Gladson (Constanza), Jeri Marshall (Empress), Paola Sanchez (Staccato), Lily Rosenzweig (Anna Maria), Sophia Tew (Nannerl), and Wesley Toledo (Mozart).

The production staff includes Ann Wakefield (Director), Jack Magaw (Scenic Designer), Sydney Dufka (Costume Designer), Anthony Forchielli (Lighting Designer), David Samba (Sound Designer), Johanna Orr (Dramaturg), and Dana Stringer (Stage Manager).

The performances on February 6 and February 8 will be interpreted in American Sign Language. Call TTY: 773.325.7975. January 17 is USO of Illinois Day.
