On Friday, November 15, 2013 STAGES ST. LOUIS hosted the twelfth annual APPLAUSE! Gala at the Ritz-Carlton, a benefit to support the organization's Education and Artistic Programs. APPLAUSE! 2013 raised proceeds of over $356,000. This year's numbers come on the heels of another record-breaking season, which generated nearly $2 million in ticket sales, out-grossing any season in STAGES' 27-year history. The event was hosted by STAGES stars Kari Ely and David Schmittou. Lynne Turley and Lisa Nichols served as event Co-Chairs.

STAGES ST. LOUIS announces new staff appointments at its new home, The Kent Center for Theatre Arts, located in Chesterfield, MO. Kristen Nordstrom has been hired for the newly created position of General Manager, which will oversee the day to day operations of the administrative staff. Ron Gibbs, who has served as Managing Director for many years, will assume the new position of Director of Human Resources. Both positions are effective Monday, August 19.
STAGES ST. LOUIS is thrilled to announce new staff appointments to STAGES' Turley Performing Arts Academy. Broadway Veteran, Vince Pesce will assume the position of Director of Education at STAGES Kent Center for Theatre Arts, the new state-of-the-art facility, effective immediately. Pesce replaces longtime Education Director Rob Grumich, who will remain during the transition through July. Also, Tali Allen Liddell will become the Manager of Community Programs and Partnerships.
37 acts from bi-state area high schools will take to the stage this Saturday hoping to chosen for the final round of competition in the St. Louis Teen Talent Showcase. The Regional Arts Commission recently awarded the first-ever Innovation Grants, totaling $466,000 to nine St. Louis cultural organizations including STAGES ST. LOUIS, Shakespeare Festival of Saint Louis, Craft Alliance, and the Contemporary Art Museum, among others. STAGES ST. LOUIS welcomes Stephen Bourneuf, Associate Artistic Director, as a full-time employee and newest member of the Executive staff. Born and raised in St. Louis, Stephen Bourneuf began his career performing locally at the MUNY and Six Flags over Mid America while attending St. Louis University High School and St. Louis University.
