STAGES ST. LOUIS welcomes Stephen Bourneuf, Associate Artistic Director, as a full-time employee and newest member of the Executive staff. Born and raised in St. Louis, Stephen Bourneuf began his career performing locally at the MUNY and Six Flags over Mid America while attending St. Louis University High School and St. Louis University. Upon graduating, he moved to New York City, eventually performing in eight Broadway shows including A CHORUS LINE, DREAMGIRLS and HELLO, DOLLY!, as well as many national tours and regional productions.

In addition to his performance experience, Bourneuf's Creative Team credits span Broadway (Assoc. Choreographer - PRINCE OF CENTRAL PARK), Regional Theatre (Director/Choreographer for multiple productions at Carousel Theatre in Ohio, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, Riverside Theatre in Florida, Arvada Center for the Arts in Denver, and STAGES ST. LOUIS), as well as Television (NBC, Showtime, and HBO). He has received a Henry Award and a Marlowe Award for Outstanding Choreography, a Kevin Kline Award for Outstanding Theatre for Young Audiences Production, and nominations for both a Denver Ovation Award and multiple Kevin Kline Awards. As an instructor, he has taught ballet, tap, musical theatre dance, and choreography workshops as well as Acting, Monologues, Scene Study and Song Interpretation for STAGES Performing Arts Academy, New Jersey's Paper Mill Playhouse, American Musical Theatre of San Jose, and high schools and colleges throughout the New York and New Jersey area.

Bourneuf's new role as Associate Artistic Director is a permanent extension of the long standing relationship he and STAGES ST. LOUIS have developed over the last two and half decades. His first role at STAGES was in the 1988 production of A CHORUS LINE, a show in which he had recently performed on Broadway. Bourneuf went on to serve as Director and/or Choreographer for multiple STAGES productions such as ANYTHING GOES, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, THE FULL MONTY, ARISTOCATS, and the box-office record breaking JOSEPH & THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.

For the 2013 Season at STAGES ST. LOUIS, Stephen Bourneuf will direct and choreograph DISNEY'S CINDERELLA Theatre for Young Audiences Production. Bourneuf will also assist Artistic Director Michael Hamilton with the main stage shows and the entertainment and artistic elements of STAGES' signature fundraising events. "Steve Bourneuf is a valuable asset," touts Executive Producer Jack Lane. "We are excited and honored to be welcoming our friend and colleague to the STAGES team full-time."
