Neglected Musicals will present It's a Bird It's a Plane It's Superman, on Hayes Theatre Co on Monday, 6 October. Directed by Stuart Maunder this 1966 Broadway Musical is the classic battle between good and evil by one of the comic world's most renowned superhero's, Superman.

Shirley Jones & Jack Cassidy stepped into RCA Victor's Studio A on September 17 & 18, 1959 to record their concept album MARRIAGE TYPE LOVE. For some reason the album was never released. Now, Masterworks Broadway has released the long anticipated album after almost 55 years. Fans of the celebrated duo and new listeners alike can enjoy the romantically schmaltzy and sweetly jazzy album for years to come.

Masterworks Broadway springs forward with the release of three unexpected album from the vault previously unavailable on CD – Marriage Type Love by Shirley Jones & Jack Cassidy (April 15), Androcles and the Lion (May 13), Ed Ames: Opening Night / More I Cannot Wish You (June 17).

Star of stage and screen Shirley Jones will guest star on ABC's daytime sudser GENERAL HOSPTIAL tonight, Feb. 5. The 'Partridge Family' matriarch will portray 'Mrs. McClain', described as 'a lonely widow who sees something strange and disconcerting while visiting her husband's grave.' In 1969, at age 16, Bronx-born Karen Wyman became a singing sensation appearing on TV with Dean Martin, The Ed Sullivan Show, and The Tonight Show, and cutting two albums. A few years later she suddenly quit singing professionally to raise a family. Now, she's back and as she proved with her new show at the Metropolitan Room, she's as good as ever.

Broadway star Patrick Cassidy will direct Oklahoma! for Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company in October.

'Sondheim: A Musical Tribute' was the title given to a benefit staged in March 1973. American Musical and Dramatic Academy and the National Hemophilia Foundation first wanted to honor Harold Prince, but he declined, so they chose Stephen Sondheim. Sondheim thought it would be 'merely a dinner,' but it was actually a full-scale production with 33 performers and a 30-piece orchestra, staged on the set of the then-running 'A Little Night Music' at the Shubert Theatre.
