Rachel Bay Jones and Jennifer Laura Thompson, who play moms in the hit Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen and are both moms to teenagers in real life, will serve as presenters in the Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival for New York City Public Schools. The third annual festival will take place Monday, March 13, 2017 at Broadway's Music Box Theatre (239 West 45th Street), home to Dear Evan Hansen, at 7 p.m.  More than 100 talented students from five New York City high schools across the city will make their Broadway debuts performing from their selected winter musicals or plays.

The Shubert Foundation's 2016 Grants Program has awarded a record total of $25.6 million to 506 not-for-profit performing arts organizations across the United States. The 2016 grants mark the 34th consecutive year that the Foundation has increased its giving. 

Miracle Theatre Group aka Milagro, the Northwest's premier Latino arts and culture organization, was awarded $40,250 in grants in April and May 2016 for General Operating support and to fund Milagro's artistic programming, arts education and community engagement efforts.

The Williamston Theatre has announced that the The Shubert Foundation has awarded the Williamston Theatre with a $15,000 Theatre Grant. This is the second year that the Foundation has provided support for the Williamston Theatre.

Berkshire Theatre Group has announced that it was the recipient of a prestigious $45,000 grant from the New York-based Shubert Foundation. The Shubert Foundation provides grant support to theatres throughout the country.

School of Rock - The Musical will host the Shubert Foundation High School Theatre Festival for New York City Public Schools on Monday, March 7 at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre.  Alex Brightman, star of School of Rock - The Musical, will emcee the event, Chancellor Carmen Farina, of the New York City Department of Education, will welcome the crowd and introduce the Shubert Organization's Chairman Philip J. Smith and President Robert E. Wankel.  Shubert Foundation President Michael I. Sovern will introduce Brightman.

The Sun Valley Center for the Arts and Company of Fools (COF) have been awarded two highly competitive grants-one from The Shubert Foundation and one from the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Recognition from these two esteemed and influential organizations honors The Center's and COF's dedication to the arts as well as their excellence in programming.

Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP) has announced a $20,000 grant award from the Shubert Foundation. This grant is used for General Operating Support for the 2015-2016 season, and marks the fifth consecutive year it has been awarded to The REP. The Foundation provides grants only to organizations that have established artistic and administrative track records, as well as a pattern of fiscal responsibility.
