Lauren Kennedy started her career at the North Carolina Theatre, having performed in many of their productions since she was 7 years old. She went on to appear on Broadway in Sunset Boulevard (original cast), Side Show (original cast), Les Miserables (Fantine), and Monty Python's Spamalot (The Lady of the Lake). Her other performing credits include Betty Schaefer in Sunset Boulevard (first national tour), Judy Haines in Irving Berlin's White Christmas (World Premiere), Cathy Hiatt in The Last Five Years (World Premiere), Nellie Forbush in South Pacific (London), Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's (St. Louis MUNY), Nefertari in The Ten Commandments (Los Angeles), Agnes Ford in Lone Star Love (World Premiere), Mary in Vanities (Pasadena Playhouse/Second Stage Theater), Martha Jefferson in 1776 (Paper Mill Playhouse), and The Witch in Into the Woods (Westport Country Playhouse).

This December The Utah Symphony will present a jam-packed program that could make even the Grinch crack a grin. Between sixties-style crooning, modern holiday classics, and international pop-stars, there is something for everyone this Christmas season, guaranteed. Royal Family Productions, a non-profit theatre company known for its innovative productions and development of new original work, concludes its week-long workshop of Ayodele Casel's DIARY OF A TAP DANCER V.4, directed by Torya Beard at the Royal Family Performing Arts Space (145 West 46th Street, 3rd Floor) with a benefit performance tonight, November 16, hosted by Daphne Rubin-Vega.

The producers of the Tony, Grammy & Olivier Award-Winning Best Musical Jersey Boys recently announced that the Broadway production will end its record-breaking, 11-year run today, Sunday, January 15, 2017 after 4,642 performances at the August Wilson Theatre (245 W 52nd St, NYC).

Acclaimed 1960s throwback group The Midtown Men are back on tour this fall, performing at Schenectady's Proctors Theatre tonight. The group, composed of Tony Award winner Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and Tony Award nominee J. Robert Spencer, performed on Broadway together in Jersey Boys for three years before forming The Midtown Men. With having performed over 2,000 live shows together, the group couldn't be more thrilled to be back on tour and bringing the music of the 60s to audiences both new and old. Tony Winner Christian Hoff was kind enough to speak with us and tell us a little about why The Midtown Men hold a special part in his heart.
