The Downtown Urban Arts Festival (DUAF) has conferred playwright Joe Gulla's autobiographical work, "The Bronx Queen", with their 2016 Audience Award.  

Studio C Artists presents the world premiere of author Rachel Burcham's new play, CAMPFIRE STORIES, directed by J. Bailey Burcham, and produced by Michael Sonntag with Artistic Director John Coppola.

As theatres across Ventura County begin a new year of musical shows, Panic! Productions will be celebrating those many countywide offerings with Coming Distractions on January 23 at the Newbury Park High School Performing Arts Center. A fund-raiser to benefit both Panic! and the high school's theatre department, the show will feature medleys of favorite songs and dance numbers from the wide range of musicals that will be mounted in the community during 2016.

?'Joe Gulla's 'Christmas Caroline' will have its World Premiere on Hollywood's Theatre Row at Studio C Artists. Directed by J. Bailey Burcham, the cast of 'Christmas Caroline' includes Shawn Davis, Scott Gerard, Megan Gill, Michelle Luchese, Sarah McElligott and Myshell Tabu.

OUTSPOKEN: SHAKESPEARE IN SHACKLES will make its national debut on Hollywood's Theatre Row at Studio C Artists on September 25th, 2015, with a large cast playing Shakespeare's most gregarious characters from multiple plays in the Canon. Penned by Blaire Baron Larsen (The Milk Meetings), OUTSPOKEN was workshopped last year at the famed Los Angeles Drama Club, where Larsen serves as Artistic Director.

One of the hottest tickets in Los Angeles every year is the inspiring 15-minute musicals developed at New Musicals Inc. There are seven musicals this year, having their world premiere on June 29, 30, and July 1 at the Lonny Chapman Theatre in North Hollywood. These musicals are a decades-long tradition at the NMI's Academy for New Musical Theatre.

West Side Story came to a triumphant close last night at Century II. Music Theatre Wichita produced another hit in the 2014 season. An exciting, devastating celebration of the human condition, compassion and consequence.
