Kean University will kick off an eclectic season of world music and dance on the Wilkins Theatre stage with the award-winning National Circus & Acrobats of the People's Republic of China (October 11, 2015 at 4 p.m.), who return to Kean for a second consecutive season with a colorful repertoire of amazing balancing acts, acrobatics, and contortionism. Final casting has been set for the 2015 Planet Connections Theatre Festivity's Playwrights For A Cause, set to take place at 7:30pm on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at New York Theatre Workshop, 79 East 4th Street, on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 pm. The Harold Clurman Playwrights Division, a program of the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, is now accepting new play submissions. In the eighth annual search for a resident playwright, the division is calling for new dramatic works written exclusively by playwrights of color. The division is also seeking ensemble plays for casts of seven to ten female roles or gender neutral roles; playwrights of all ethnicities are welcome to apply with an ensemble play.
