Smith/Wymore Disappearing Acts is proud to announce the world premiere of Number Zero (a space opera), a highly physical, semi-improvised dance-theater adventure about a near future shaped by excessive computer control. Created by Sheldon B. Smith, Lisa Wymore and Ian Heisters, in collaboration with James Graham and Pei-Ling Kao, Number Zero runs June 20 - 22, 2014 at CounterPULSE in San Francisco.
The Green-Wood Historic Fund will host a tribute to Isadora Duncan, one of the most innovative and exciting figures of 20th-century dance, as Catherine Gallant and her dance company (Catherine Gallant/DANCE) perform some of Duncan's most memorable works. Performed against Green-Wood's serene landscape will be Duncan's mournful "Grande Marche" (1914) set to the music of Schubert, as well as late-period dances evoking sorrow, hope, and rebirth set to Chopin. The performance will conclude with dances of exuberance and light.
The recent recipient of two Isadora Duncan Dance Awards, Flyaway Productions has announced the world premiere of Multiple Mary and Invisible Jane, an aerial dance about the experience of older homeless women created by choreographer Jo Kreiter in collaboration with award-winning composer Pamela Z and journalist Rose Aguilar. Multiple Mary and Invisible Jane opens Friday, September 12, 2014 and runs through Saturday, September 20.

A cast of six will lead the reading of Wendy Beckett's Off-Broadway - bound production of ALL MOD CONS. This new play, directed by Evan Bergman is the fifth in a series of Ms. Beckett's plays that will be brought across the pacific from Australia by Pascal Productions. The reading takes place on Monday, April 21, at 4PM at Primary Stages Studios (307 West 38 Street, Suite 1510) and is open to the public by reservation only.
