After a one-year postponement, the Opening and Drawing Ceremony of the third Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition was held online on August 12.

Featuring Grammy-winning musician Chris Thile and special guests Cécile McLorin Salvant and Sullivan Fortner, Zakir Hussain and Ganesh Rajagopalan, Damon Daunno, and Timo Andres (with more to be announced soon), the concert will commemorate the remarkable history of The Town Hall.

Bryant Park Picnic Performances' season of free, live performances reaches its finale on Monday, September 20 at 7pm with The Town Hall: Centennial Concert with Chris Thile, featuring special guests Cécile McLorin Salvant and Sullivan Fortner, Zakir Hussain and Ganesh Rajagopalan, Damon Daunno, and Timo Andres.

The third Shanghai Isaac Stern International Violin Competition, which has been postponed for one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, kicks off on August 12, 2021. The competition received 102 applications from 31 countries and regions around the world and now the list of 36 contestants selected for the Quarter-Final Round is officially released.

Conceived by Opera Fuoco Artistic Director David Stern and presented in partnership with Marquee TV, Figaro in the City is a modern-day retelling of Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro. Conductor David Stern collaborated with videographer and stage-director Alexandre Camerlo to forge the artistic direction of this contemporary adaptation of the 18th-century classic.

The Town Hall has announced the weekly rebroadcast of a full 7-episode season of PREFORMANCES with Allison Charney entitled Season of Hope starting January 7, 2021. This season of virtual performances and conversation includes well-known works by Chopin, Strauss and Joplin to name a few, as well as works by living composers.
