BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that William Wolf, former President of the Drama Desk, has passed away from COVID-19 complications on Saturday, March 28. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Kramer Wolf.

South Bay Musical Theatre (SBMT) has announced the titles for the Company's upcoming 2020-2021 season. 'Persona', the world premiere of a new theatrical adaptation of Ingmar Bergman's 1966 iconic Swedish psychological movie - considered by many critics as one of the greatest films ever made - is the opening production in Studio 3 of the new Riverside Studios.

Sweden's greatest modernist playwright, August Strindberg, returned from the Continent to Stockholm in 1906, where he lived out his last seven years. There he wrote 'The Pelican' for his Intimate Theater in 1907 and 'Isle of the Dead' (Toten-Insel) immediately after as its prologue. The latter was unpublished until 1918 and rediscovered in the early 60s, when it was found and promptly dismissed as an incomplete fragment. The two plays were finally reunited by Ingmar Bergman in a radio version in 2003. It was his last dramatic production. From February 6 to 22 August Strindberg Rep, a resident company of Theater for the New City (TNC), will bring the two plays to the stage together for the first time in history. It will also be the world premiere of new English translations of both plays by Robert Greer, Artistic Director of Strindberg Rep, who helms the production.

Pacific Resident Theatre announces the extension of a?oeANDY WARHOL'S TOMATOa?? by Vince Melocchi through October 27th.

Award-winning film director Nanouk Leopold returns to Internationaal Theater Amsterdam for her second theatre directing with the ensemble. This season, she directs the classic The Homecoming by Harold Pinter, winner of the Nobel prize for literature. The performance- with Gijs Scholten van Aschat, Maria Kraakman, Majd Mardo and others - will premiere Sunday 13 October at Internationaal Theater Amsterdam.
