Soprano Alexa Frankian has been awarded the 2026 Igor Gorin Memorial Award by the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona, recognizing her as a promising young vocal artist in opera.

One of New York City's most innovative opera companies, City Lyric Opera (CLO), presents the New York premiere of Uncovered, a chamber opera that plumbs the dramatic intersection of abortion, fundamentalism, and homosexuality within a true story. 

Opera San Jose is proud to introduce our new ensemble of resident artists. Conductor / Chorus Master / Principal Coach Christopher James Ray, Sopranos Kerriann Otaño and Elena Galvan, mezzo-soprano Stephanie Sanchez, and baritone Eugene Brancoveanu will join returning tenor Mason Gates during the 2019-20 season. 

MIAMI - August 2, 2016- Florida Grand Opera (FGO) is pleased to announce the members of its 2016-17 class for its Young Artist Program. These artists, consisting of both new and returning members, were selected from more than 600 singers who auditioned for the coveted program. 

Puccini's most popular opera, this immortal tale depicts the tragic love affair between penniless poet Rodolfo and his equally impoverished seamstress neighbor Mimi, living in a community of young, bohemian artists. In this modern, new production by Opera Columbus, its cast of emerging, young artists, including soprano Talya Lieberman, winner of Opera Columbus' 2014 Cooper-Bing Vocal Competition, find themselves navigating the wreckage of post-Katrina New Orleans.
