Steel Pier, John Kander and Fred Ebb's high-energy dance musical about life in 1930s Atlantic City, is currently playing its first professional European staging at London's Union Theatre. Phantom of the Opera veteran Sarah Galbraith stars as Rita Racine, a dancer who sets out to leave the dance marathon circuit amid the city's romance and deceit. Savannah Music Festival Extends Violinist Daniel Hope's Contract

After nine years of serving as Associate Artistic Director at the Savannah Music Festival (SMF), violinist Daniel Hope's contract has been extended for three more years beginning in FY 2013. Mr. Hope's contributions to chamber music programming at SMF have helped bring the organization international notoriety as one of America's most distinctive cross-genre festivals.

The 2011 Savannah Music Festival (SMF) is an expansive city-wide, multi-venue program showcasing a wide array of internationally acclaimed artists in over one hundred productions from March 24 to April 9. On Monday evening April 13th, cast members from the Broadway National Tour of 'Mamma Mia' will
perform without their standard spandex and platform shoes at a benefit concert for Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. This eclectic evening of songs with music directed by Bill Congdon will take place at West Hollywood's iconic venue The Abbey (629 N Robertson Blvd, West Hollywood, CA) at 8PM and will feature a special performance by the legendary Candis Cayne (Dirty Sexy Money).

The University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance Department of Musical Theatre presents a special 25 th Anniversary Concert on Saturday, March 21 at 8 PM in Hill Auditorium. Featuring current students of the department and alumni in collaboration with members of the UM Symphony Band, the 25 th Anniversary Concert celebrates the silver anniversary of this program with a wide variety of musical numbers, dances and musical theatre overtures. Faculty members Brent Wagner, Linda Goodrich, Mark Madama direct and choreograph, with Cynthia Kortman Westphal conducting members of the University Symphony Band.
