The Acting Company to Present A Staged Concert Reading of A WOLF IN SNAKESKIN SHOES: OR THE GOSPEL OF TARTUFFE 

The Acting Company has announced a staged concert reading of award-winning playwright  Marcus Gardley's A Wolf in Snakeskin Shoes: Or The Gospel of Tartuffe on Monday, November  8th at 7:00pm at Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street). Gardley returns to The Acting Company  after his critically acclaimed play X: or, Betty Shabazz v. The Nation had an extended run off  Broadway in 2017.

Ian Belknap, Artistic Director of The Acting Company, to Step Down at the End of the Year

Ian Belknap is leaving The Acting Company, on December 31, 2021, having served as its Artistic Director for the past ten years, to pursue new creative opportunities.  “The Acting Company turns 50 in 2022. It’s a good time for an influx of new energy and to give myself a new challenge,' said Belknap, Artistic Director of TAC.

Bobby Cannavale and Rose Byrne to Reunite on Stage for a Benefit Reading of A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE

The Acting Company, (Founded by John Houseman and Margot Harley; Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) has announced a special one-night-only benefit reading of Arthur Miller's iconic mid-century drama A View from the Bridge. The reading will star two-time Emmy Award winner Bobby Cannavale (The Irishman, Boardwalk Empire) and his real-life partner, Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Rose Byrne (Like A Boss, Damages, Bridesmaids), as they play Miller's emotionally torn Eddie and Beatrice Carbone.

The Acting Company Partners With The Juilliard Drama Division For Shakespeare Tour

The Acting Company is proud to announce JULIUS CAESAR and ROMEO & JULIET, two touring productions visiting New York City schools across the five boroughs in January 2020. In an expansion of the Company's five-decade relationship with the Juilliard Drama Division, the school touring productions will for the first time feature casts of current Juilliard acting students.

The Neo-Futurist Theater is proud to host more than 50 Chicago-based activists, artists and leaders to take part of its 24-hour staged reading of the Mueller Report. The report, which is nearly 450 pages, was originally delivered by Special Counsel Robert Mueller on April 18, 2019 and covers subjects ranging from questions about Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election to whether President Donald Trump.

The Acting Company (Founded by John Houseman and Margot Harley; Ian Belknap, Artistic Director; Elisa Spencer-Kaplan, Executive Director) today announced casting for the final reading in the 23rd John McDonald Salon Reading Series, Letters from Prison, a curated evening from adapter Dakin Matthews (To Kill a Mockingbird) that collects the original letters of acclaimed literary and historic figures to explore the nature of justice and imprisonment, from the Bible to the present day. The reading will take place on Tuesday, August 13 at 7 PM at the Duke on 42nd Street (229 W. 42nd Street, New York, NY).
