The cast of 'ANNE FRANK, a musical', based on Anne Frank's life will feature 12 artists on stage to recreate Anne Frank's life filled with the touching music and lyrics written by Jean Pierre Hadida. This production marks the U.S Off-Broadway Premiere of this successful French musical which will be performed for the first time in English (adapted by Dylan Hadida). Directed and produced by David Serero, this new Off-Broadway production will take place at the Center for Jewish History (15 West 16th Street New York 10016), originally produced by Francine Disegni for Broadway Mad Production, Simon & Michal Kalfon.

The Charleston Light Opera Guild (CLOG) is currently hard at work preparing for their upcoming production of Shrek the Musical, based on the wildly popular Shrek film series. The play a?' which opened in 2008 on Broadway and features a book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori - follows essentially the same story as the first Shrek movie, albeit with the incorporation of multiple musical numbers and a few expanded set pieces.
Now on stage at Peninsula Players Theatre through July 28 is Agatha Christie's endearing, yet shrewd detective, Miss Marple, who is on the hunt for a crafty killer in 'A Murder is Announced,' by Leslie Darbon. Miss Marple is making her debut at America's oldest professional resident summer theater and Door County's theatrical icon. Christie introduced Miss Marple to readers in 1927 when The Royal Magazine published her short story "The Tuesday Night Club," in which three people are poisoned at dinner and one dies.

Colombian-American soprano Vanessa Vasquez, winner of the 2017 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, recently completed a residency at the prestigious Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. While there, she sang as Mimi in La boheme, Gilda in Rigoletto, Donna Anna in Don Giovanni, and Violetta in La traviata. She made her professional opera debut in summer 2017 as Liu in Turandot at the Des Moines Metro Opera. This past season, she was Violetta at Arizona Opera and, currently, she is appearing as Mimi in La boheme at Santa Fe Opera.

Ben Mingay and Lucy Durack will play the lead roles of Shrek and Princess Fiona in the lavish and fun multi-million dollar musical comedy SHREK THE MUSICAL, Australia's leading theatre producer John Frost announced today. It was also announced that Australian musical royalty Marcia Hines would play the role of the Dragon in a special guest appearance for the Sydney season.
