Australia's leading theatre producer John Frost today announced the full adult cast of the lavish and fun multi-million dollar musical comedy SHREK THE MUSICAL, which opens in Australia next year. SHREK THE MUSICAL will play at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, The Star from 1 January 2020, followed by seasons at Her Majesty's Theatre, Melbourne from 16 February and at the Lyric Theatre, Brisbane from 9 May.

Actor-singer-dancer-choreographer Adam Fleming became a part of Broadway history originating the roles of Sketch in Hairspray and Lucas in Bare. Hollywood Arms, the Carol Burnett story, is currently playing at Ridgedale Players. The show kicked the 2019-2020 season at one Michigan's oldest community theatres as Ridgedale Players has been around since 1931. Hollywood Arms is a memoir of Burnett's childhood in California. It's a funny and moving story of three generations of women living on welfare in a one-room apartment, one block north of Hollywood Boulevard. A tale about shattered hopes and realized dreams. St. Mary's College of Maryland Musician in Residence Brian Ganz will be joined by former Director of the college Theater Program, Michael Tolaydo, for a dramatic presentation merging music, theater, art, and poetry. Ganz and Tolaydo will present 'Whistler's Lecture: James Whistler, Claude Debussy and the Lecture That Changed Art.' Whistler's lecture, more commonly known as the 10 O'Clock Lecture, spelled out his then-radical views on the purpose of art. In the canonical lecture, he discussed the idea that beauty should not be a?oeconfounded with virtue,a?? and that art is a separate entity from a social and cultural framework.
