Additional casting has been announced for the new Broadway production of Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe's beloved Oscar and Tony Award-winning film and stage musical, Gigi. Joining the previously announced Vanessa Hudgens in the title role will be two-time Tony Award-nominee Howard McGillin (The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Anything Goes, The Phantom of the Opera) as Honore Lachaille, Corey Cott (Newsies) as Gaston Lachaille and Steffanie Leigh(Mary Poppins) as Liane d'Exelmans. Casting for the roles of Madame Alvarez and Aunt Alicia will be announced soon.

The Meeting* hosted by Justin Sayre, the acclaimed comedy/variety show, will return to Joe's Pub at The Public Theater on Sunday, September 14 at 9:30 PM for the launch of its landmark 6th season. The September show will include a tribute to the beloved soul diva Amy Winehouse, featuring special guests Kenny Mellman, Jessica Vosk, Xavier Rice and Mark Aaron James. Tracy Stark serves as the show's Music Director.

EMMY Award-Winner Bruce Vilanch stars in a staged reading of RUBBLE, a new comedy by 4 time EMMY Award-Winning 'The Simpsons' writer, Mike Reiss at The Provincetown Theater. 'The Sopranos' star and Broadway veteran Jerry Adler also joins the cast. The staged reading of RUBBLE will be directed by James Valletti for one night only to benefit The Provincetown Theater. All proceeds go directly to support The Provincetown Theater.

A recent story for Slate.com called the evening "so deliciously icy that it left me shivering with fear and delight." The Fall 2014 season feature tributes to the beloved soul diva Amy Winehouse (September 14), Broadway and Hollywood star Julie Andrews (October 19), Warhol Superstar Candy Darling (November 16) and the 6th annual Holiday Spectacular (December 7). Tennessee Shakespeare Company (TSC), the Mid-South's professional classical theatre, today announced its 2014-15 schedule of plays, which includes three by Shakespeare, the Southern Exposure Series, a continuing partnership with Dixon Gallery & Gardens, a new summer partnership with the University of Memphis, and a new Musical Works Festival sponsored by the Broadway licensing company of Memphis, Monty Python's Spamalot, The Color Purple, and All Shook Up: The Music of Elvis Presley.

Tony Award winner Daryl Roth (Kinky Boots, The Normal Heart) and Karyl Lynn Burns (The Best is Yet to Come) present the New York premiere of Wiesenthal, the award-winning play written by and starring Tom Dugan and directed by Jenny Sullivan. Wiesenthal launches a limited 14-week engagement, from October 24 through February 1, at the Acorn Theatre at Theatre Row, (410 W. 42nd Street). Opening night is November 5.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced its 2014- 2015 theater season today, including the pre-Broadway engagement of Gigi featuring a re-envisioned book by Heidi Thomas with direction by Eric Schaeffer. The Kennedy Center will also produce the world premiere musical Little Dancer with book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty, and direction and choreography by Susan Stroman; touring productions of Evita, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Once; and back by popular demand following its record-breaking six week engagement in 2013, the multi-Tony Award®-winning musical from the creators of South Park, The Book of Mormon, will return for a limited engagement. The season also brings the eighth season of Barbara Cook's Spotlight series, individually showcasing five Broadway performers in a cabaret setting. From March 2 - 24, Iberian Suite: arts remix across continents will bring a multitude of theatrical offerings to the Kennedy Center. As part of the Center's efforts to support the creation of new works, the Kennedy Center will host the 13th annual Page-to-Stage new play festival and the 47th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

Today in 1993, the first Broadway revival of She Loves Me opened at Criterion Center Stage Right, where it ran for 354 performances. She Loves Me is a 1963 musical with a book by Joe Masteroff, lyrics by Sheldon Harnick, and music by Jerry Bock. The plot revolves around Budapest shop employees Georg Nowack and Amalia Balash who, despite being consistently at odds with each other at work, are unaware that each is the other's secret pen pal met through lonely-hearts ads. The Revival cast featured Boyd Gaines as Georg, Judy Kuhn as Amalia, Sally Mayes as Ilona, Howard McGillin as Kodaly, Lee Wilkof as Ladislav, Brad Kane as Arpad, and Louis Zorich as Mr. Maraczek. A revival cast recording was released by Varese Sarabande.

Williamstown Theatre Festival has announced additional casting on both the Main Stage and Nikos Stage as well as special events for the 2014 Season. On the Main Stage: Diana DiMarzio, Rick Holmes, and Timothy Shew join the WTF Resident Company, appearing in both June Moon and The Visit.

After a highly-successful season at 54 Below, The Meeting* has returned to its downtown roots this year with shows through May. Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, presented its 2014 Annual Gala, MUSICAL MASTERWORKS, Monday evening, May 12 at the Hudson Theatre at the Millennium Broadway Hotel (145 West 44th Street). Tony Award-winner and CSC Associate Director John Doyle helmed an evening of memorable numbers from iconic American musicals-a rich and vital heritage that CSC has begun to explore with last season's critically-acclaimed production of Passion and the upcoming production of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Allegro.
