The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts has announced the full cast and creative team for the World Premiere commissioned musical The Day You Begin.

Bay Street Theater & Sag Harbor Center for the Arts has announced that submissions to the 9th annual Title Wave: 2023 New Works Festival have opened for full-length plays and musicals. Submissions remain open through Tuesday, November 15, or once the first 300 are received, whichever comes first. The festival, scheduled for May 5–7, 2023, is a unique showcase of cutting-edge theater, complete with staged readings, talkbacks, and critical discussion.

The Wayward Artist's Wayward Voices presents the world premiere production of BRACKISH, a haunting and heartwarming play about family, race, and generational divides by Hope Villanueva. In the virtual show, a resilient young South Carolina army widow, who loves Modern Family and talks to her Pygmy goats, angles for romance with a religious dairy farmer from Oklahoma. The first-ever New Works Virtual Festival kicks off tonight! Every evening from December 5th - 25th of 2020 at 8PM EST/5PM PT, the New Works Virtual Festival will stream video readings of 20 new scripts of non-musical pieces (19 plays, 1 teleplay) as well as an 21st (a 'Christmas Special') featuring the work of a diverse group of writers and all-star cast members.

On Friday, December 4th, the New Works Virtual Festival will be featured on Stars in the House hosted by NWVF cast member Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley.
