HAPPINESS, is a new musical about a disparate group of New Yorkers caught on a subway train under unusual circumstances. It was commissioned and developed by Lincoln Center Theater. The production will reunite director-choreographer Susan Stroman and book writer John Weidman, whose last LCT collaboration was the Tony Award winning Best Musical Contact and will mark the LCT debuts of composer Scott Frankel and lyricist Michael Korie.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival, in association with TPTE LLC, will present the New York premiere of TO PAINT THE EARTH, music by Jonathan Portera and words by Daniel Frederick Levin, directed by Michael Bush (Stormy Weather, Based on a Totally True Story), as part of the 5th Annual NY Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). Performances will run September 22nd-Oct 1st.
Jersey Boys set a new box office record in Minneapolis last week. The Tony® and Grammy® award winning Best Musical that tells the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, grossed $1,373,196 for the week ending April 13, 2008, shattering the previous record of $1,371,894 held by The Lion King. Jersey Boys opened to critical acclaim on March 20 in Minneapolis at the Orpheum Theatre, where it will play through April 20, 2008.
The National tour of Jersey Boys, the Grammy® and Tony® Award winning Best Musical, plays its 500th performance this Friday, March 14. The tour is currently in its final week (through March 15) at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center's Morsani Hall, where it has been one of the most successful engagements in the theatre's history. The show set a new box office record for the week ending March 9, grossing $1,705,414, and it also set a new record for Carol Morsani Hall on Saturday night, March 8 opened to a sold-out house of 2,586 patrons.
