Tobias Menzies (The Crown) and Tony winner Sophie Okonedo (Ratched) joined the cast of the star-studded second season of Modern Love. They appear in an episode directed by John Carney, who also serves as showrunner and executive producer. The episode and series recently completed filming in Dublin, Ireland.

The Jewish Plays Project has announced the acting company of the 10th Annual Jewish Playwriting Contest. The ten works feature acclaimed actors including Clea Alsip (M. Crossroads Comedy Theater, home to some of Philadelphia's most recognized comedy shows and programs, has announced the return of live, in-person shows starting in June. The company will present a series of performances at South Philly's Theatre Exile (1340 S. 13th Street), following strict health and safety protocols from the CDC.

SMALL MOUTH SOUNDS is a play of silence and seeking. It follows six campers on a Silent Retreat as they seek to understand themselves and each other. Southern Plains Productions, a theatre company born out of the COVID pandemic, presents their opening act at The Myriad Water Stage. The cast must develop their characters with very little dialogue.

The list of off-air winners was revealed this morning on the BBMAs Instagram Live hosted by Matthew Hoffman. Pop Smoke, who received record-breaking posthumous recognition as a finalist in 10 categories, dominated four of those categories, while Gabby Barrett, a first-time finalist and the female artist contending in the most categories this year, claimed two awards.

In this first program, a woodwind trio explores the richness of 20th century French Chamber music from some of the greatest composers of wind music in the 20th century. This concert is presented in collaboration with FIAF (French Institute Alliance Francaise).

Ucross has announced the opening of a new exhibition in the Ucross Art Gallery, American Memory: Inside Out, which features work by Monica J. Brown, Brittney Denham-Whisonant, and Bill Will. All three artists are alumni of Ucross's prestigious artist residency program. The exhibition will be on view from May 14 through August 27.  

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have just announced that Tony Award Nominee Jeremy Jordan (Newsies, American Son) will finally be able to take the stage as Seymour, alongside original cast members Emmy Award winner Tammy Blanchard (Life with Judy Garland, Gypsy) as Audrey and two-time Tony Award winner Christian Borle (Something Rotten!, Falsettos) as Orin Scrivello, D.D.S..

After more than a year without live, in-person performances due to COVID-19, Seattle Opera will officially return to the theater this fall with its 2021/22 Season. Offerings include immortal favorites (La bohème, The Marriage of Figaro), historic works with a modern twist (Orpheus and Eurydice), plus an award-winning piece speaking to racial injustice in America (Blue).

The Cleveland Ballet has announced its return to the stage with the 2021-2022 season. This season marks the return to Playhouse Square, and a return to live performances, since the beginning of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. 

Producers of the Off-Broadway production of Howard Ashman and Alan Menken’s landmark musical LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS have announced that the 2020 Drama League, Outer Critics Circle, and Drama Desk Award-winning Best Musical Revival will reopen on Tuesday, September 21 at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street).
