PUFFS or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic - the hit comedy currently running Off Broadway at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) - celebrates its first ever global expansion with the announcement of the play's Australian premiere in Melborne this May.  In addition to this landmark debut, plans for a U.S. tour and a national broadcast, the PUFFS New York production will expand to seven shows a week this month.

Some people are born with the capacity to do great things. Some people change the world. Some people rise from humble beginnings to defeat the forces of darkness in the face of insurmountable odds. PUFFS is the story of the people who sit in class next to those people.

PUFFS or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic the hit comedy currently running at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) recently celebrated a major landmark as the show reached 300 performances Off Broadway on January 1, 2018. The show also broke two New World Stages box office records: the recently-concluded holiday week marks the largest grossing week in the history of Stage 5 at New World Stages, with the show achieving last week the highest advance sales for Stage 5 in the existence of the venue.

As audience response has continued to grow since the show won another set of rave reviews this summer, PUFFS is now on sale at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street) through November 4, 2018. The holiday production at Syracuse Stage is always a family favorite to look forward to and this year is no different. Syracuse Stage and the Department of Drama have joined forces with New York City-based 2 Ring Circus to bring a twist on the iconic story of The Wizard of Oz. Cleverly directed by Donna Drake, The Wizard of Oz comes to life with all the familiarity of the 1939 film starring Judy Garland, but with a unique infusion of acrobatic arts into the story and choreography. The end result is truly hypnotizing.

Cape Rep Theatre will soon present the Cape Cod premiere of Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, with music by Wayne Barker, November 3 through December 4: Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm and Sundays at 2 pm, with an additional 2 pm matinee on Saturday, November 26. There are no performances on November 6, 9, 23 or 24.  Tickets are $35.  Pay-What-You-Can-Night is the first Friday, November 4.
