TV: Joshua Harmon's ADMISSIONS Makes the Grade at Lincoln Center

Rep Stage Announces 2018–2019 Season Productions

Rep Stage, the professional regional theatre in residence at Howard Community College, has announced its 2018-2019 season will launch with the musical "Sweeney Todd," followed by a world premiere production by Callie Kimball, and contemporary theatre classics "Twilight: Los Angeles, 1992" and "The 39 Steps."

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will present Father Comes Home from the Wars (Parts 1, 2 & 3) (April 25-May 20, 2018), Pulitzer Prize winner and MacArthur "Genius" Grant recipient Suzan-Lori Parks's (Topdog/Underdog, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) explosively powerful and lyrical new play inspired by the Odyssey and set amid the American Civil War.

MISS YOU LIKE HELL Begins Previews March 20 at the Public

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) will begin previews for the New York premiere of MISS YOU LIKE HELL on Tuesday, March 20. With book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes and music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, the new musical is directed by Public Theater Resident Director and Founder of Public Works Lear deBessonet, with choreography by Danny Mefford, part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR. The musical will run through Sunday, May 6, with an official press opening on Tuesday, April 10. Continuing The Public's mission to make great theater accessible to all, The Public's First Performance "Free for All" continues this spring; free tickets to the first preview on Tuesday, March 20 will be available beginning March 13, via TodayTix mobile lottery.

Porchlight Music Theatre opened Porchlight Revisits They're Playing Our Song last night at Porchlight's new home, The Ruth Page Center for the Arts, 1016 N. Dearborn Street. They're Playing Our Song features music by Marvin Hamlisch, lyrics by Carole Bayer Sager and book by Neil Simon, with direction and choreography by Christopher Carter, musical direction by Andra Velis Simon and starring Lorenzo Rush Jr and Sharriese Hamilton.

The 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival, presented by AT&T, revealed its feature film lineup championing the discovery of emerging voices and celebrating new work from established filmmaking talent. To close the Festival, Tribeca will World Premiere The Fourth Estate, from Oscar®-nominated director Liz Garbus, which follows The New York Times' coverage of the Trump administration's first year. The Centerpiece Gala will be the World Premiere of Drake Doremus' sci-fi romance Zoe starring Ewan McGregor, Lea Seydoux, Rashida Jones, and Theo James. The 2018 Tribeca Film Festival takes place April 18-29.

Dearborn Street. Tickets for They're Playing Our Song are $35.
