ABC to Present A Four Episode Marathon of ROSEANNE April 24 Following DECEPTION

For those viewers who haven't watched yet or want to experience 10th season episodes all over again, the revival of “Roseanne” will rebroadcast four back-to-back episodes on TUESDAY, APRIL 24 (8:00–10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. Episodes are also available via streaming and on demand. Plus, an original episode of “Deception” kicks off a two-night event (part two airs SUNDAY, APRIL 29) where, for the first time this season, “Deception” will show viewers how Cameron Black executes one of the grandest illusions in history, immediately following the “Roseanne” marathon on TUESDAY, APRIL 24 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT).

The Public Theater (Artistic Director, Oskar Eustis; Executive Director, Patrick Willingham) presents the New York premiere of Miss You Like Hell. With book and lyrics by Quiara Alegria Hudes, music and lyrics by Erin McKeown, and choreography by Danny Mefford, the new musical is directed by Public Theater Resident Director and Founder of Public Works Lear deBessonet. Part of The Public's Astor Anniversary Season at their landmark downtown home on Lafayette Street, celebrating 50 years of new work at 425 Lafayette Street and the 50th Anniversary of HAIR, the musical will now run an additional week through Sunday, May 13.

The current American president is never mentioned in bookwriter/lyricist Quiara Alegria Hudes and composer/lyricist Erin McKeown's lovely and touching chamber musical MISS YOU LIKE HELL.  But even though the piece has been in development well before anyone thought of the former reality TV star as a serious candidate, his presence is well-felt in their story of an undocumented Mexican-American mom who is facing deportation while trying to rebuild her relationship with her citizen daughter.

Half way between Houston and Victoria Texas sits a town with a population around 11,600.  In this city sits a young man with hopes and aspirations of sharing the songs he composes with the world.  His name is JOEL Hernandez.  JOEL, having shown an aptitude for music and songwriting capabilities at a very early age gained the immediate backing of his entire family.  This led to JOEL meeting up with west coast Grammy nominated songwriter, producer, musician Rodney Alejandro of SweetSpot Entertainment.  Rodney was deeply impressed and moved to connect the up and coming JOEL with the much sought after professional musicians Ben Sargeant, Ian O'Neill, and Michael “Nomad” Ripoll.  They banded together and Rodney produced JOEL's  March 2018 release “Seasons Change”. 

ABC's ROSEANNE Revival Renewed for Second Season

The ABC Television Network has picked up hit comedy revival “Roseanne” for an 11th season, Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment, announced today. With just one day of Nielsen's delayed viewing counted, the return of “Roseanne” saw its Total Viewer count swell by a best of season for any premiere telecast of over +3.4 million viewers to a 21.869 million average audience.  In addition, after the first day of playback, Roseanne shot up to a 6.24 rating in Adults 18-49, adding more than 1.0 rating point and over 20% to its Adult 18-49 Live + Same Day number.

The opera in three acts features music by Francis Poulenc and libretto by the composer after Georges Bernanos' play Dialogues des Carmelites. The English translation is by Joseph Machlis. Michael Scarola is the stage director and NYU Steinhardt's Michael Ricciardone is the music director.
