Cave Theatre Co., in association with The Waterfront Museum, will present Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead, directed by James Masciovecchio, October 12-27th, 2018 at The Waterfront Museum (290 Conover St, Brooklyn, NY 11231) with performances Friday and Saturday at 8pm.

As part of INGENIO Milagro, the program to develop Latino playwrights and plays in order to add more Latino voices to the American theatre cannon, two local Portland playwrights were selected to take part in NWTW's one-year playwriting program. The program consists of two workshops: Create: Writing the Script -9 month Intensive and Create: Summer Intensive. The goal is to complete a draft of a play, or a rewrite of a draft of a play, during this time period. The resulting work will be highlighted in INGENIO Milagro 2019.

Westport Country Playhouse will stage "Man of La Mancha," the Tony Award-winning musical about Don Quixote's quest for "The Impossible Dream," from September 25 through October 13.  Directed by Mark Lamos, Westport Country Playhouse artistic director, the story of Quixote's battle for good and the love of his fair maiden is written by Dale Wasserman, with music by Mitch Leigh, and lyrics by Joe Darion.

The new Paramount Network today announced a full series order for 'Emily in Paris' (working title) from Darren Star. The 10 episode, half-hour series will bookend a new Thursday dramedy night that launches in January with 'First Wives Club,' from Tracy Oliver ('Girls Trip'), followed by Star's hit-series 'Younger,' that officially moves to Paramount Network for season six in the spring, followed by 'Emily in Paris' in the summer.

Oxygen Media, the destination for high-quality crime programming, has signed an overall development deal with Paul Holes, the hero detective who helped bring the Golden State Killer to justice, it was announced today by Rod Aissa, Executive Vice President, Original Programming and Development, Oxygen. The deal coincides with the one-year anniversary of Oxygen's rebrand to true crime in Summer 2017.

Los Profesores: ¡En Vacaciones! (The Teachers: On Vacation!) is a Spanish comedy show for English speakers, written by and starring "Los Profesores" (Erica Hernandez and Pedro Alcocer), and directed by Alexis Pereira.

Prepare for an illuminating journey when The Psychedelic Film and Music Festival holds its inaugural event featuring a lineup of science fiction, horror, fantasy, surrealist and virtual reality films, music and stage performances and panel discussions set to explore the altered states of consciousness and truth behind the vibrant and enduring psychedelic culture. The week-long gathering will feature musical performances by Simon Boswell with The AND, Psychic Ills, Heaven, Michael Tapper, Roosevelt Island and Nosh alongside appearances by researchers Dr. Dennis McKenna, Robert Barnhart and other special guests notable for breakthroughs in the psychedelic community. Premiering at venues in Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens, the festival will run October 1-7, 2018.

Main Street is sizzling with the opening production of Theatre Arlington's 46th season, 9 to 5 The Musical. This witty and delightful musical is based on the 1980 hit movie, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, one of the original screenwriters. The unlikeliest of friends, Violet, Judy and Doralee, combine forces to take control of their company and their egotistical boss, intent on keeping them and every other woman "in their place." As their plan spins wildly out of control, these women unite to seek their sweet revenge, but in so doing - shatter the stereotypes and find true friendship, independence and prove there is nothing they can't do. What a way to make a living!

Rover Dramawerks continues their 18th Season with the classic comedy Charley's Aunt by Brandon Thomas. Performances will be at Rover's theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances run September 13-29 on Thursdays and Fridays at 8:00 p.m. and on Saturdays at 3:00 and 8:00 p.m.

Musica Viva NY kicks off its 2018-19 season with Songs of Love, an evening of lieder by Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and P.D.Q. Bach, on Sunday, September 23 at 5:00 p.m. at All Souls Church. The concert features soprano Devony Smith, mezzo-soprano Michele Eaton, tenor Nathan Siler, and baritone Brian Mextorf, accompanied by Artistic Director Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez and Trent Johnson.

Today the House of Blues Music Forward Foundation launches a special anniversary campaign to celebrate the organization's 25th year enriching the lives of young people and kick-starting careers in the music industry. Gabby's World, the project of Gabrielle Smith (fka Eskimeaux, Ó), has announced her new album Beast on Beast, with its lead single 'Rear View.' NPR, who premiered the song today on the All Songs Considered show, is calling it 'a burst of buoyant, breezy pop.'

It will be broadcast Monday, Sept. 10 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and CBS All Access, CBS' digital subscription video on demand and live-streaming service.
