The Palace Theater will bring music icon Herbie Hancock to Waterbury on Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 7:30 PM.  Hancock, a legendary pianist and composer, is a Kennedy Center honoree, Academy Award winner, and winner of 14 Grammy awards. This concert is part of the ION Bank Concert series.

The Cleveland Orchestra announced updates to its inaugural Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival: The American Dream, which takes place this spring at Severance Music Center and with Cleveland partner organizations.

Chicago Tap Theatre (CTT) concludes its 20th Anniversary season with the world premiere of “Synesthete,” at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave., June 8 - 11 with the press opening June 8 at 8 p.m.

Seven-time GRAMMY winner, two-time Oscar nominee, trumpeter and composer Terence Blanchard will receive the George Peabody Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Music and Dance in America and will address the graduates during the Peabody Conservatory’s 2023 Graduation ceremonies on Wednesday, May 24.

New England Conservatory President Andrea Kalyn and the Board of Trustees have announced composer, trombonist, and musicologist George E. Lewis as commencement speaker and honorary degree recipient at the Conservatory's 152nd annual commencement exercises which will be held in-person on Sunday, May 21 at 2 p.m. ET. This is NEC's largest graduating class in the school's history.

Music at the Intersection returns for its third year with a diverse, genre-bending and decades-spanning artist lineup, as well as a special celebration of the 50th anniversary of hip-hop.

The follow-up to his acclaimed 2021 tribute album which once again finds the saxophonist reimagining the songs of the Grateful Dead with his gritty and soulful Detroit sound joined by guests including Oteil Burbridge, Bob James, Jamey Johnson, Greg Leisz, and Don Was.
