J. Lee's Gourmet BBQ Sauce Expands To New Rouses Supermarkets

Eleven additional Rouses Supermarkets opened their doors to the fastest growing barbecue sauce in grocery stores today; J. Lee's Gourmet BBQ Sauce. The sauce that says 'Put It On Anything' on its label, the taste that "All Families Love', the sauce that earned top 1% placing from the 2014 National Barbecue Association's contest; recently gained acceptance from Rouses Supermarkets to be added to six stores in south eastern parts of Louisiana and five newly opened stores surrounding Mobile, Alabama. The Alabama Rouses are located in Gulf Shores, Spanish Fort, Saraland, Theodore, and Mobile. The Louisiana locations are in Slidell, Covington and Mandeville; with two stores located in each city. All locations have received their initial shipment and have J. Lee's available for purchase.

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will take the stage at the Shakespeare Theatre Company this holiday season. Making his STC mainstage directing debut, STC Associate Director Alan Paul heads up the hilarious and fun musical farce based on the classic plays of ancient Roman playwright Plautus. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum will play at Sidney Harman Hall (610 F Street NW) from today, November 21, 2013-January 5, 2014.

STC Artistic Director Michael Kahn Honored By British Empire

Michael Kahn, Artistic Director of the Shakespeare Theatre Company, has been inducted as an Honorary Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, a national order of chivalry for British nationals and people who impact the United Kingdom. Kahn was invested into the order by the British Ambassador to the United States, Sir Peter Westmacott, during a private ceremony at the Ambassador's residence in Washington, D.C., on Tuesday, April 23, 2013.

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival Opens A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, 4/20

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival will open Tennessee Williams' Pulitzer Prize-winning classic, A Streetcar Named Desire, at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, April 20, in the Angus Bowmer Theatre. This production is directed by Christopher Liam Moore, who, along with many of the same collaborators, designed and staged the extremely popular Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 2010.

A 25th anniversary production of the imaginative, fractured-fairy tale musical "Into the Woods" by James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim will be staged at the theater where Sondheim was an apprentice in 1950, Westport Country Playhouse, in Westport, CT, May 1 through May 26. Directed by Mark Lamos, the Playhouse's artistic director, the musical will open the historic theater's 82nd season. It is co-produced with Baltimore's CENTERSTAGE.
