Paper Mill Playhouse has announced casting for The Sound of Music, directed by Mark S. Hoebee. The production will feature Ashley Blanchet (Paper Mill’s Rodgers + Hammerstein’s Cinderella, Broadway’s Waitress) as Maria Rainer, and Graham Rowat (Broadway’s Dear Evan Hansen, Sunset Boulevard) as Captain Georg von Trapp.

The Drama League has announced performers and appearances slated for the 2022 Fall gala, “Embrace The Season: A Drama League Celebration” coming up on Monday, October 17 at 6:00 PM at City Winery.

Rorschach Theatre will present Dissonant City. From October through May, each box reveals a new location and a new chapter in the ongoing story. The first chapter of DISSONANT CITY: A Psychogeographies Project releases October 30, 2022, but participants can join at any time and will be sent the chapters they missed. 

Roll On! Productions in association with the Center for Nonprofit Advancement and Dasu Productions will present Roll On! A Gospel Musical, starring legendary Tony Award Winner and Grammy Award nominee, Melba Moore, at the THEARC Theater in Washington, DC for 21 shows, opening Sunday, October 9 until Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Beginning on November 9 and running through December 11, Studio Theatre will bring Duncan Macmillan's People, Places & Things to the stage. The play will be directed by Studio Theatre Artistic Director David Muse, making his first in-person directorial appearance since the pandemic, and will be only the second production in Studio Theatre's new Victor Shargai Theatre. 

La Jolla Playhouse has announced the cast and creative team for its production of As You Like It, by William Shakespeare, co-directed by Tony Award winner Christopher Ashley, the Rich Family Artistic Director of La Jolla Playhouse, and Helen Hayes Award winner Will Davis. It will run November 15 – December 11.
