Desert Ensemble Theatre Company's (DETC's) ninth season continues with the world premiere production of ADOPTION ROULETTE, by Elizabeth Fuller and Joel Vig. Shawn Abramowitz directs a three-person cast headed by Yo Younger. Adina Lawson and Fergus Loughnane each play multiple roles. The run begins on January 31st.

Idle Muse Theatre Company (IMTC) continues its 2019-20 Season with In The Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), by Sarah Ruhl, directed by Morgan Manasa, March 9 - April 5, 2020 at The Edge Theatre Off Broadway, 1133 W Catalpa Ave. Previews are Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m. Opening night is Monday, March 9, 2020 at 8 p.m. The regular performance run is Thursdays - Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m. with an added performance Wednesday, March 25 at 8 p.m. Industry Night is every Thursday during the run with $10 tickets for industry members. According to his husband, Hamilton's Gregory Treco - 'The world lost a great light on Saturday the 11th at 7:21pm. My brave, talented, creative, giving husband of 16 years, left this earth surrounded by his closest friends and family. The pain is unbearable and I am just trying to pick up the pieces at this time.'

The Washington Stage Guild continues its season of great writers with the Washington premiere of Bloomsday by Steven Dietz. This delicate, time-bending romance is set in James Joyce's Dublin on June 16th, the date on which Joyce's Ulysses is set. Robert returns to that city 35 years after meeting Caithleen on a walking tour of Joyce's Dublin. He and Cait meet again and revisit their youthful relationship, amid the echoes of Joyce's masterwork, and the missed connections of that earlier time in their lives. Helen Hayes Award winning Kasi Campbell will direct. A post-show discussion will follow the Sunday matinee on February 2nd, James Joyce's birthday.

Casting includes Stephen Christopher Anthony in the title role. Jessica Sherman plays 'Heidi Hansen', Claire Rankin plays 'Cynthia Murphy', and John Hemphill plays 'Larry Murphy.' The Second City's Black History Month Show Will Return for 2020

The Second City has announced casting for the return of The Second City's Black History Month. Under the direction of Ali Barthwell, the show features ensemble members Robel Arega, Jillian Ebanks, Leila Gorstein, Collette Gregory, Bill Letz, and Max Thomas. John Love will serve as music director and Sam McNerland will stage manage. The show runs February 4-March 11 on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8pm.
