Signature Theatre presents the world premiere production of Disney's Freaky Friday. Developed by Disney Theatrical Productions expressly for licensing to theatres, Freaky Friday features a book by Bridget Carpenter, music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey. This premiere production will be directed byChristopher Ashley with choreography by Sergio Trujillo. Freaky Friday will run from October 4 - November 20 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre. Things are getting freaky over at the Signature Theatre, where the cast and creative team for Disney's new musical, Freaky Friday, starring Heidi Blickenstaff and Emma Hunton, are deep into rehearsals. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Disney's Freaky Friday. The production will star Heidi Blickenstaff (Broadway's Something Rotten) as Katherine Blake and Emma Hunton (Broadway's Spring Awakening) as Ellie Blake, as well as Jason Gotay(Broadway's Bring It On The Musical) as Adam and Alan H Green (Broadway's School of Rock) as Mike.

Signature Theatre has announced the full cast and creative team for the world premiere production of Disney's Freaky Friday.

The talented Heidi Blickenstaff took the stage at the renowned Usdan Summer Camp for the Arts.

As a member of the original Broadway cast of SOMETHING ROTTEN! she understudied Heidi Blickenstaff as Bea.

On Friday, July 22nd at 8:00PM join the Long Island Musical Theatre Festival for a tribute to John Kander and Fred Ebb, the legendary Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy-award winning songwriting team whose Broadway shows include Cabaret and Chicago, and timeless songs like 'New York, New York' at Adelphi University Performing Arts Centre (1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY 11530). The show will feature Heidi Blickenstaff who joins LIMTF fresh from her Broadway run in Something Rotten who was also seen in First You Dream: The Music of Kander and Ebb on PBS.

Today, casting was announced for the stage adaptation of Disney's iconic film "Freaky Friday," which will be led by Emma Hunton ("Spring Awakening," "Next to Normal") and Heidi Blickenstaff ("Something Rotten," "The Little Mermaid") as daughter and mother, respectively. It will have a world premiere in October at the Signature Theatre in Arlington, VA.

The musical, based on the beloved 1972 novel by Mary Rodgers and hit Disney films and developed by Disney Theatrical Productions expressly for licensing to theatres, features a book byBridget Carpenter, music by Tom Kitt and lyrics by Brian Yorkey. This premiere production will be directed byChristopher Ashley with choreography by Sergio Trujillo. Freaky Friday will run from October 4 - November 13 in Signature Theatre's MAX Theatre. Further casting and creative team members will be announced in the coming months.

Today in 2008, [title of show] opened at the Lyceum Theatre, where it ran for 102 performances. [title of show] is a one-act musical, with music and lyrics by Jeff Bowen and a book by Hunter Bell. The show chronicles its own creation as an entry in the New York Musical Theatre Festival, and follows the struggles of the author and composer/lyricist and their two actress friends during the initial brief (three-week) creative period, along with subsequent events leading up to the show's production. Writer/stars Bowen and Bell, as well as director Michael Berresse all won Obie Awards for their work on the off-Broadway production, and Bell was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Book of a Musical.

Something Rotten!, the ten-time Tony Award-nominated smash hit musical comedy, will celebrate its 500th performance tomorrow, Friday, July 1 at Broadway's St. James Theatre (246 West 44th Street).
